We're announcing our first-ever online auction! And we need your help to make it a success! Normally, we do an in-person auction during our Spring Membership dinner (our biggest fundraiser of the year). This year, we’re thinking even bigger! Our school is facing financial pressures, but the calls keep coming from parents who want Christian education. We need the community to help us today by donating auction items … and by bidding! Do your Christmas shopping with us AND support quality, faith-based education in Windsor-Essex! (We already have some great items and we know we will receive many more, thanks to generous supporters!) The MCA Christmas Online Auction is November 28 to December 8. Go to www.maranathachristian.ca/auction to find more.

Student post #7:
Today was the last day. We are going to miss everyone so much! We had a great experience throughout these 3 weeks and will never forget the constant jokes and memories that were made. Today we visited a wind farm learned about wind turbines and visited Peche island in the big Montreal canoe! This is the last post which is sad but we are grateful for everything that we were able to experience😊

Student post # 6 (about the Algonquin trip)
The Algonquin canoe trip is one we will all remember for the rest of our lives. The eight days greatly challenged us individually and as a team. We were faced with many obstacles everyday that we had to work together to overcome. Half of the time was spent laughing the other half was spent creating lasting memories. This week consisted of canoeing, portaging, swimming, mosquito bites, Dylan's catchphrases, campfires, constant singing, Ryan's puns, burns, daily falls, setting up and taking down tents, rain, marsh monitoring, moose sightings, ferocious loons, hungry mice, group devotions, canoe tipping, Jared humbly showing off, Rachel saying 'yasssssss', exploring, burning our food, waking up from Mr.Robson's singing, and so much more. Most importantly, we all grew closer to God. For many of us, Algonquin was the most natural place we have ever experienced. Seeing God's creation was breathtaking and left us in awe. We are so thankful for this trip and it has strengthened our relationships with each other and with God. We become more than friends, we were a family. We actually came up with positions in the family for ourselves. Ruth is the mom/wife, Dylan is the dad/husband, Garret is the son, Sarah is the adopted daughter, Jordynn is the fun aunt, Ryan is the grandpa (Dylan's dad) and Jubilee is the grandma (Ruth's mom). We love our crazy family and are so happy we could experience this trip with them.

Student post #6:
Today we finished moving mulch for the outdoor garden that we are working on. It was hard work but it's gonna look great in the end! It is sad that of this course is ending tomorrow because of all the memories that we have made throughout the trip and throughout this time at school. After we move mulch we worked through the whole entire day on projects that are due tomorrow. We would've gone on the Montreal canoe but since the weather said that there would be thunderstorms we ended up just staying at school just in case. We love this course and we are excited for the adventures that will happen to us on the last day.

After cleaning up yesterday from our big trip to Algonquin park we are planning on finishing this week strong with lots of cool activities to come! We had an amazing time in Algonquin! Today we were visited by Sarah and we studied birds and after we moved mulch for an outdoor classroom. We had time to work on our projects and now we are waiting for the adventures that are going to come to us this week.
