VOLUNTEERS NEEDED💥

Kerry Jach and Miss Maya could use some extra hands this weekend as they prep and run their first ever emmaswodforhope🎗️

Windsor CrossFit is hosting a competition this Saturday (June 20th) from 9am to 4pm 🏋️‍♀️

VOLUNTEER DETAILS:
🔅Equipment set-up & judges briefing Friday, June 19th at 6:30pm
🔅Equipment crew, judges, scorecard collection, raffle ticket table, etc needed throughout the day Saturday

‼️ If you can only come Friday, Saturday, or for a little section of either, WE WILL TAKE YOU!!! Many hands make light work— even if it’s only for an hour or two!

The competition is being held at 1106 Laramie St, Tecumseh (Windsor CrossFit)

‼️ Coach Steph is heading there right after 5:30pm class on Friday to help out. She’s taking 5:30pm attendees with her (we’ll grab some food while we’re out there 😉)

Every Saturday at All Level CrossFit, we team up for our weekly Partner Workout—a chance to push a little harder, laugh a little louder, and share the effort with someone beside you.

Whether you’re chasing a PR or just looking to move and have fun, our partner workouts are designed so everyone can jump in. One person works while the other rests, you split the reps, cheer each other on, and finish stronger together.

Rookie year!

Taylor is embarking on her first online semifinal journey this year… starting today at 3pm!

This is Taylor’s first year qualifying and competing in this competition. The qualifying process has changed a lot through the years:

🔸QUARTERFINALS:
- 2023: Top 10%
- 2024: Top 25% of the Open
- 2025: No quarterfinals
- 2026: Top 10%

🔹SEMIFINALS:
- 2023: Top athletes from quarterfinals in each region
- 2024: Top 40 from quarterfinals in each region
- 2025: Top 1% from the Open
- 2026: Top 2000 from quarterfinals

(We hope to gain some consistency with qualifying for different stages of this competition soon🤞)

As Taylor heads into this weekend, we want to take a minute to appreciate the progress she’s made through the years. One of the things we love about the Open is that we can go back and analyze old workout data.

Taylor’s dedication to improvement paired with her work ethic have greatly contributed to her progress through the years and her successes as a competitive CrossFitter.

Taylor didn’t start where she is now. There was once a time when she couldn’t do toes-to-bar, or pull-ups, or clean more than 95lbs.

Her accomplishments are results of how bad she wanted to get better.

She realized that discomfort, frustration, and failure were things she would need to get comfortable with in order to grow as an athlete.

You made it, Taylor. This is the fun part.
Have fun this weekend and enjoy the challenges. You’ve done the hard part. It’s time to celebrate.

The sn**ch & the clean (and jerk) carry more benefits than just making us look cool 😎

These movements help us develop explosive power, strength, and coordination.

Let us explain:

Moving weight in the sn**ch and clean and jerk requires moving weight at high speeds (that’s the cool part). In order to move weight fast, we need to be powerful. Training these lifts turns us into higher jumpers, faster sprinters, and helps us change directions quickly 🧭

On top of this, these lifts are full body movements. No muscle isolation here! We engage almost every major muscle group simultaneously (legs, glutes, core, arms). The whole body benefits from it 💪

Executing these lifts safely requires good range of motion in our joints. Positions in these lifts are very important, so stretching, mobilization, and activation are all important components of pre/post lifting routine.

Just like all other resistance training, Olympic lifting positively impacts muscle mass and bone density. This helps keep our skeletons strong as we age!
