Shocking! In our recent fan selection vote, High School Musical 2 beat all comers, including Ferris Bueller's Day Off, to be our selection for tomorrow! Are you a fan? We haven't screened the first one, so we'll need you here to bring us up to speed!

Thanks to those who have reached out about our website's expired SSL certificate! That was something we'd hoped to have fixed before plastering the URL on the back of a magazine, but this week had kept us a little busier than expected with some great events.. like Flip the Switch's incredible debut performance last night!

The website will have to wait until after Abbas Wahab's two shows tonight, but we should be back up and running in a couple days!

Abbas Wahab is one of the funniest humans I have ever met. Not just a great comedian, he's also acted in The Boys, What We Do in the Shadows, and he played a friggin' Klingon on Strange New Worlds. He's back by popular demand at Meteor Saturday evening for TWO shows! Pick one and we'll see ya here. Me, I'm picking both! (But I kinda need to be here)

Flip the Switch is a high-energy band that's been quietly writing and recording since June of last year! It's all been building up to this moment, their first ever live show. No pressure, guys. 😉 Joined on stage by local darlings Gnome Chimpsky, as well as Strange Creatures, whose drummer once gave me what's possibly the best cable-wrapping hack I'd ever heard. (Doors may be closer to 9:30 due to an early event.)

Of course, we'd prefer to see you at the show in person, but what if you can't be there? Meteor and CJAM 99.1 FM are excited to announce 'The FOMO Sessions'! This new series will feature a recent Meteor show, aired in its entirety, for anyone who couldn't make it out in person. For the premiere this Saturday, we're sharing the INCREDIBLE Brass Camel performance from earlier this month. If you're a prog rock fan in even the slightest, you don't want to miss this show for a second time!

Meteor is incredibly excited to welcome Analogue Press to our community! As the human factor that is the most valuable part of the arts and music community gets increasingly steamrolled by AI slop and algorithmic noise, the value of a local arts magazine that you can hold in your hands has never been clearer.
