As a unique brand of theatre, Post Productions complements the Windsor-Essex scene by staging provocative productions for audiences that want more for their dollar: post-theatre, post-art, post-entertainment. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for casts, crews, guests, audiences, and potential collaborators by treating all persons with dignity and respect
3. Conduct all business affairs with honesty and integrity
4. Collaborate with other artists in Windsor-Essex to mutual benefit whenever possible
5. Focus on character and story over all other aspects of theatre
6. Cast only the best local acting talent available to us
7. Contribute to a vibrant, thriving and diverse Windsor-Essex theatre community by supporting, patronizing, and encouraging other companies and independent artists
8. Strive to push ourselves to improve and grow with each performance of each production
9. Work with each other, rather than over or under each other
10. Use theatre to challenge conventions, habits and assumptions by staging productions that leave audiences compelled to think, discuss, and debate long after the show ends
11. Provide encouraging, supportive, and productive opportunities for new and emerging talent to learn, develop, grow, and achieve artistic success.

“Nelson’s remarkable psychological horror bequeaths a rich trio of complicated and engaging characters, all of them deeply human – even when they aren’t human at all. It weaves together a compelling story that builds dread and intrigue propulsively, carrying the audience to a climax that will leave patrons shaking.”

Experience a brand new work of psychological horror this spooky season with The Pet by Shane Devon Nelson, only at The Shadowbox Theatre!
This exciting new play, winner of the 2025 Windsor-Essex Playwriting Contest, is the story of the Caretaker and the Pet, who have lived for years in a co-dependent secluded relationship in a tiny apartment. The love and trust that binds them together becomes threatened with the introduction of the Admirer, who disrupts their established routines by inspiring thoughts of a better life – leading to a pulse-pounding climax in which the challenges of attachment, caregiver fatigue, the burdens of responsibility, and the implications of societal waste exact a twisted toll. The Pet is an eerie and atmospheric psychological horror unlike anything ever staged in Windsor-Essex… and an experience you will never forget.
