Hi, I’m 👋 for the past 10+ years, I’ve been behind ‘My Travelling Backpack’ online (scroll to the last photo to see how it started ➡️) and today I changed my handle 👀

This name change has had me thinking a lot about where this all began. At 18, I was working in the luxury hotel industry, where I learned how to anticipate guests needs and turn “moments into memories” (something drilled into me and I still carry today).

Around that same time, I caught the travel bug during a study year abroad and fell in love with capturing moments through photos and videos. I didn’t realize it then, but that mix of tourism + storytelling + sharing online would eventually become my work with .

Over the years, My Travelling Backpack has taken me across Canada and Europe, working with tourism boards, hotels, and lifestyle brands I still genuinely love. But more than that, it’s connected me to you, both online and in real life.

Now, stepping into this next chapter online as here’s what you’ll likely see:

➕bts of supporting entrepreneurs in the travel + tourism space w/
➕ continue sharing my adventures (both in my ‘backyard’ and wherever life takes me)

BTS FROM OUR LAST CLOTHING SWAP IN JANUARY 👀 we still can’t believe we had a line up when we opened our last swap!

this Sunday May 3rd from 11am - 2pm at Gino and Liz Marcus Community Centre, we’re hosting our biggest clothing swap yet, in a bigger space, and with waaaaay more clothes (made possible by everyone who’s dropped off clothing in advance — we see you and love you 😘) we’re excited to set everything up and see all of your !

HOW IT WORKS:

1) get a ticket to enter! visit the link in bio to purchase a ticket OR pay $10* at the door to enter the event! event starts at 11am!

2) swap day access — show your ticket at the door for access to the swap (or buy one at the door). items will be sorted by category, so you can easily browse and find what you love. 🆕THIS SWAP we’ll have .sav on site offering alterations for purchase — so any piece you find can be altered for you (first come first served). note: you don’t have to bring clothes to the swap to participate, you can show up to ‘shop the swap’!

3) ENJOY THE SWAP! take as many items as you like while being mindful of others. It’s all about finding new treasures and giving your clothes a second life!

Give Back: Any leftover items will be donated to .yqg / Saint Vincent de Paul 💗 (If there are other organizations that need specific items, please let us know and we will set them aside!)
