Our mission is to enhance the lives of adults with disabilities through inclusion in physical activity and sport. Our purpose is to:

We are a research group at the University of Windsor. Ensure inclusive, barrier-free participation in physical activity and sport for adults with disabilities by providing adapted physical exercise programming with the goal of enhancing overall health and quality of life.
2. Use sport and physical activity as a vehicle for social change by showcasing the strengths of adults with disabilitie

🚨 APEX IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS 🚨
Are you a UWindsor student interested in volunteering with APEX this summer? APEX is Adapted Physical Exercise for adults with developmental disabilities.
As a volunteer, you will be paired with a participant and help guide them through a workout at the University 💪 Don’t worry, we’ll provide you all the training you need!
We’re looking for volunteers for July 10-August 16. It’s on Mondays and Wednesdays, and works out to a total of ~3 hours each week.

APEX – Youth in Action, a joint effort between Career Compass, Community Living Essex County’s Employment Services, and the APEX Research group at University of Windsor’s Kinesiology Department will be offered again this summer! We’re so excited for our first day of the program 💪
