Hey folks! I've decided to rent out my treatment space for evenings and weekends. It's a great space, warm and cozy. Perfect for massage therapists (obviously 😜), estheticians, acupuncturists, etc. I have a great office set up for a nail tech.

Feel free to share! 😊

This is your annual reminder that the sun is hot!

Here's some dos and don'ts from your fave RMT:

▪️Don't be like me and forget to wear sunscreen. Burns are not fun, I do not recommend

▪️Do be sure to wipe/shower off oil post massage if you are going to be spending any amount of time outside

▪️Don't go to the scrub space at the Nordic spa if you don't plan on putting more sunscreen on (this may or may not be how I got burned.. 🤦🏼‍♀️)

▪️Do stay hydrated this summer. Your body will thank you and so will your massage therapist

Happy Tuesday!

P.S. for anyone wondering, those yellow/weird looking marks are from cupping!

Today marks my one year anniversary of running my practice from home!!

This past year has been insanely incredible! I've picked up many new clients, had the majority of past clients come with me, and business is booming!

I appreciate your love and support! I love my job and I love helping you feel your best ❤️

And because business grew MUCH quicker than I anticipated, I am now booking 6-7 weeks out and I am not taking on new clients at this time. I am happy to refer though!

Cheers!

I had a conversation this morning with one of my gym buddies between sets. They called me a "masseuse". I corrected them, I'm a massage therapist. They asked what the difference is, and so I educated them.

A few minutes later, another buddy came into the conversation and was shocked to learn the difference.

I have been called a masseuse many times in my career, and I continue to correct people. Many don't know the difference. So here's a little low down for you!

A "masseuse" entails an illicit service of the sexual nature.

A massage therapist:
- is licensed or registered with a governing body in their province/state
- has MANY hours of schooling to learn the anatomy and physiology and we're able to treat many conditions
- continues to educate themselves and learn new/specialized modalities

I am a Registered Massage Therapist, and I'm proud of what I do ❤️

Concussions are more than “just a bump on the head” 🧠

A Concussion affects your brain and nervous system — which means recovery isn’t just physical… it’s neurological too.

As an RMT, one of the biggest things I look for is how the body is compensating after injury. With a Coup-contrecoup injury, symptoms don’t always show up where the impact happened 👇

That’s why you might feel:
• Neck tension on both sides
• Jaw pain or headaches
• Brain fog + fatigue

Massage can help — but timing and approach matter ✨
Gentle, nervous-system-focused care > aggressive treatment every time

If you’re recovering from a concussion:
🤍 Listen to your body
🤍 Don’t rush healing
🤍 Work with practitioners who understand brain injuries

Save this for later & share with someone who needs it 💬

Sometimes a client's tissues are so hypertonic, all I want to do is run them over with a steam roller... But each treatment I continue to work hard to find them some relief
