Making colour charts in the has felt tedious and not altogether helpful for my painting practice. This way of making colour swatches feels purposeful and the completed sketchbook page is captivatingly beautiful.

These two green ones were up on the painting wall today. It’s been a few months since I’ve looked at them and now that I see them again l, after a break, I know what they want to be.

These two large paintings have come along way in a short while. I’ll sit with them awhile to decide if I they want to be lighter or if they stay this vibrant yellow.

Had a lovely evening at the private view for Art for All.

My paintings were hung together and looked fabulous in the gallery setting overlooking the Detroit river. The show and sale runs through December 7th. Come on out and enjoy the art!

This is “Stones Throw”, a companion piece to “Close at Hand” which featured in my last post. Both are part of the Art for All show coming up next month.

This mixed media painting is part of my Listening Lessons collection of small and sensitive abstracts born of the desire to explore a lighter palette and more open space in my work.
