🎵 “Don’t stop me now…” 🎵

It’s time for Tattoo Reveal #2

Anyone who knows Sara knows that Queen has always been her favourite band, so it only felt right to include a few Queen and Freddie Mercury-inspired designs in the fundraiser flash sheet.
From road trips to kitchen dance parties, Queen has been the soundtrack to a lot of Sara’s life. So if you’re a fellow Queen fan, these tattoos might be calling your name. 👀

🖤 Team Sara Tattoo Fundraiser
📍 Advanced Tattoo & Piercing
1317 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor

🗓 June 15–20

📞 Walk-ins are welcome, but calling ahead to book is recommended.

A portion of every fundraiser tattoo will be donated directly to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation in support of Sara’s fundraiser.

And for those who have told me:

“I’d love to support, but I don’t want a tattoo…”

I’ve got you covered!
Send me $80 to cover the tattoo deposit, pick one of the designs from the fundraiser sheet, and I’ll get the tattoo for you. I’ll even tag you when I post it so you can claim partial responsibility for my questionable life choices.

Because apparently three fundraiser tattoos weren’t enough. 😂

Thanks again for continuing to support Sara through her recovery and treatment journey. Because of this incredible community, we’ve already raised over $14,000 toward her goal of $15,000.

Let’s see if we can get her there. 💪💖

Long live Queen 👑

If you work with a piece of equipment long enough, eventually it earns a name
Some are dependable
Some are dramatic
Some have cost me a concerning amount of money
And yes, I absolutely have favourites 😉

$5. Five minutes. A trick I’ve been using for years.
As hanging baskets fill out, they can start to split under their own weight. Instead of replacing plants or letting them flop, I weave a little plant Velcro through the interior stems to gently support everything from the inside.
The best part? Nobody sees it.

Have you tried plant Velcro in the garden yet?

Yesterday, Sara underwent surgery in her fight against cancer. 💪
And now, we’re turning support into something permanent.
We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ve partnered with for a special fundraiser in support of Sara’s NO HAIR DON’T CARE fundraiser for Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation 💖

From June 15th–20th, Advanced Tattoo will be donating a portion of tattoo proceeds directly to the fundraiser.
We’ve created a collection of custom flash designs inspired by Sara, but you’re also welcome to bring your own design and let the shop know it’s for the fundraiser.

🗓 June 15–20
📍 Advanced Tattoo 347 Ouellette Ave
📞 Appointments/calls are preferred
🚶 Walk-ins welcome, but availability isn’t guaranteed

People always say they want a tattoo that means something.

Well… this is that.

Whether you choose one of the custom pieces or something personal of your own, every tattoo helps support cancer care right here in Windsor 💛

And if tattoos aren’t your thing, you can still help by donating, sharing this post, or sending it to someone who’s been waiting for a sign to book their next piece 👀

The support so far has honestly been incredible, and we’re getting closer and closer to our next goal.

Let’s see if we can take this past $15K for Sara
💪💖

Recently had the chance to connect with and chat about creativity, building .design.co embracing multidisciplinary work and the sometimes messy process of learning to trust your own voice.

I appreciate platforms like this that create space for emerging creatives and entrepreneurs to share the realities behind what they’re building…not just the polished final product.

Very grateful to be featured alongside so many talented people.

Some days it’s easy to forget how far I’ve come since the beginning of BEX.
Five years ago, I was working for someone else, struggling to make ends meet, and carrying around all this creativity with no real place to put it. I knew I was artistic. I knew I had something in me. I just didn’t fully believe I was allowed to take up space with it yet.
The first real shift happened because of something small: I posted a crochet Baby Yoda I made for my son on Instagram. Someone saw it, reached out, and asked if I could make pieces for their shop. That tiny moment cracked something open.
For the next couple of years, I did markets, built slowly, experimented, learned. But honestly, the biggest change wasn’t external. It was internal.

I stopped letting fear make my decisions for me.

I started approaching life with curiosity instead of intimidation. I said yes to networking events. To writing. To being visible. To opportunities that scared me. I stopped waiting to feel fully ready before trying something new.
And somewhere along the way, BEX became more than a business. It became proof that most of the things we want live on the other side of fear.
What I’m maybe proudest of, though, is that I’ve stayed open through it all. There have been disappointments, setbacks, betrayals, moments that could’ve easily made me cynical or smaller. But I think there’s a real kind of power in remaining soft. In continuing to create, connect, trust your intuition, and move through the world with an open heart anyway.

BEX has evolved so much over the years, but the core of it has stayed the same:
build honestly, stay curious, and don’t let fear decide who you become.
