Hi, I’m Nadine! ✨

If you’re new here, welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Nadine, a Birth & Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, and mentor to new doulas. For nearly a decade, I’ve had the incredible privilege of walking alongside families during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives.

I’ve supported more than 350 births, but what continues to inspire me isn’t the number, it’s the relationships.

I believe every family deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and genuinely supported. My role isn’t to make decisions for you, it’s to help you understand your options, build confidence, and create space for you to make the choices that feel right for your family.

Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, an induction, a cesarean birth, or you’re simply feeling overwhelmed by all the information out there, I’m here to provide evidence-based education, emotional support, hands-on comfort measures, and a calm, reassuring presence.

Beyond birth, I also support families as they adjust to life with a new baby through postpartum care, newborn education, feeding support, and placenta encapsulation.

When I’m not attending births or teaching classes, you’ll usually find me mentoring the next generation of doulas, reading the latest birth research, cuddling a newborn, or spending time with my family (and my very enthusiastic dogs, Zeus & Hera🐾).

At the heart of everything I do is one simple belief:

Some births are fast. Some are long. And some ask everyone in the room to dig a little deeper.

Today was one of those births.

After hours of patience, perseverance, teamwork, and unwavering trust, this incredible family welcomed their baby into the world.

Watching my clients find strength they didn’t know they had never gets old. Every birth reminds me why I do this work.

I don’t measure success by how quickly a baby arrives or whether everything goes exactly according to plan. Success is seeing parents feel supported, informed, respected, and empowered through every twist and turn of their journey.

Today was one of those days, and I couldn’t be happier for this beautiful family.

I left the hospital tired, grateful, and once again reminded what an incredible privilege it is to be welcomed into one of life’s most transformative moments.

Congratulations to this amazing family. It was an honour to walk alongside you.

One of the greatest gifts this work has given me is the people I get to share it with.

Today I met up with Coral Adams for brunch. We spent a few hours catching up, dreaming big, and talking about both our short-term and long-term goals.

Coral has been my secondary doula for the past two years, but our journey together actually began even earlier. She was part of my very first doula training as an instructor with Doula Canada back in 2022. Watching her grow into the incredible doula she is today has been such a privilege.

Something I’ve been intentionally changing in my language is referring to this role as a secondary doula rather than a backup doula. Words matter.

A secondary doula isn’t “Plan B.” They’re a trusted colleague, an experienced birth professional, and an extension of the care and values I promise every family. They’re someone I trust completely to step in seamlessly should the unexpected happen, ensuring my clients are always supported.

Birth work was never meant to be done alone. The strongest care comes from collaboration, mentorship, and a community of professionals who genuinely want to see one another succeed.

I’m so grateful for friendships like this, ones that challenge me, inspire me, and remind me that while birth may be the work we do, it’s the relationships we build along the way that make this career so meaningful.

I’ve been following Jen Hamilton for years and have admired the way she educates, advocates, and brings humour and honesty to conversations around pregnancy, birth, and parenting.

I’m so excited to finally dive into Birth Vibes: Stories and Strategies for an Empowered Birth. As a doula, I love continuing to learn from different voices and perspectives, and I have a feeling this one is going to be filled with practical wisdom, encouragement, and stories that resonate deeply with both birth professionals and expecting families.

There’s always something new to learn in this work, and I’m looking forward to seeing what insights Jen shares in these pages.

Just returned from my 350th birth, and I’m sitting in so much reflection.
The trust, the vulnerability, the strength I’ve witnessed over the years, it never stops humbling me.
To be invited into these spaces is something I will never take for granted.
So deeply grateful to be walking this path.

There’s something incredibly special about being welcomed into a space where a family is growing, where trust is deep, and where birth unfolds in its most intimate and powerful form. To be invited into that, especially today, felt like the greatest gift.

Birth, in all its forms, continues to humble me. It reminds me why I do this work, to witness, to support, to hold space, and to walk alongside families in some of the most transformative moments of their lives.

Spending my birthday doing what I love, exactly where I’m meant to be… I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Grateful. Honoured. In awe. ✨

✨ 300 Births Attended ✨

This morning, I had the honor of supporting my 300th birth as a doula. 💜

When I think back to my very first birth almost 9 years ago, I could never have imagined the depth of growth, learning, and transformation this path would bring. Each family, each birth, each unique journey has shaped me into the doula I am today.

I’ve witnessed strength in its rawest form, love in its most powerful expression, and resilience that continues to inspire me. Every single birth has taught me something new, about trust, about surrender, about courage, and about the sacred power of bringing new life into the world.

I am endlessly grateful to every client who has welcomed me into such a vulnerable and intimate space. To be invited into these moments is the greatest honor, and I carry pieces of every story with me always.

Here’s to the next chapter, the next births, and the continued privilege of walking alongside families as they welcome their babies. Thank you for trusting me. 💜
