Time to spotlight another popular designer!
Liz Mathews is the creator of Hello From Liz Mathews, a popular, independent cross-stitch and needlework design company. She is well-known in the cross-stitching community for her original sampler designs, primitive/antique reproductions, and seasonal collections.
She launched her cross stitch design business, Hello from Liz Mathews, at the end of 2019 and it's been a whirlwind ever since!
She has always been a maker and loves creating cozy spaces, a garden full of flowers, and yummy meals for her husband. She lives in a suburb of Baltimore Maryland but would love to live abroad one day.
Key highlights of her work and brand include:
• Signature Style: Her charts feature rich sampler motifs, repeating florals, autumn themes, and intricate Christmas designs (such as her popular 12 Days of Christmas series).
• Antique Reproductions: Alongside original designs, she often reinterprets and re-releases historical, vintage sampler pieces to make them more accessible to modern stitchers.
We have a lovely collection of Hello from Liz Mathews cross stitch patterns on our website. Below are a just a few of them.
Enjoy!

It's been a while since our last newsletter. Kim and I have spent the spring attending quilt, fiber shows, and events, with a few more weekends ahead. It has been wonderful to meet you and see your stitches in person.
I've been working hard to keep the online store updated, which involves a lot of hands-on inventory work. As a result, I may be slightly behind on launching new patterns.
This week, we received and posted online orders from Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks, and Fiber on Whim.

We would like to highlight yet another fun designer, this time from Billericay, England – Cotton Pixels .
According to her website, Julia designs small festive 3D ornaments, cat themed pincushions and other modern and traditional patterns.
The techniques she uses include cross stitch, beading, Blackwork, & Hardanger.
She takes her inspiration from literature, nature or sometimes just a bunch of colourful embroidery floss.
Julia stitches and finishes all of her models, takes photos of them, and prepares patterns to be convenient to use. She creates professionally printed leaflets contain stitching and finishing instructions.
We love her gentle and very cute 3-D patterns and her choice of thread colours is uplifting and cheery.
Check out our collection of Cotton Pixel patterns today.
Enjoy!

Do you know about the CGT Cottage Garden Threads collaboration with XStitch the Rainbow and 20+ designers?
XStitch the Rainbow is a stitching community collaboration designed to support multiple pillars of the cross stitch industry: dyers, designers, shop owners, and stitchers.
20+ designers are creating 60x60 ocean-inspired designs using a palette of four thread colors from Cottage Garden Threads called "Beneath the Waves", with all designs released in March at the Nashville Needlework Market.
One thread color is a brand new market-exclusive color!
Cottage Garden Threads are sold in 10-meter skeins and since each design is 60x60 or smaller, you can stitch multiple patterns with one pack.
This stunning floss kit consists of a limited 4 color palette including Sea Change, Mariana, Citrus, and Sizzler.
The threads and patterns are so bold and fun! Check out our collection below including patterns by Tiny Modernist Cross Stitch ,Fox and Rabbit Designs , Ink Circles, Jan Hicks Creates Petal Pushers, Counting Puddles, and more.

Let's highlight another fun designer. This time, Counting Puddles with American designer Lindsey Whitney.
According to her website (and we agree) she creates playful, modern cross stitch patterns that hopefully bring you joy, creativity, relaxing downtime, a chance to work with your hands, or … maybe all of the above!
She started designing cross stitch patterns in 2018 as a form of self care and pleasurable downtime while looking after her two little boys.
"I wanted to share fun, modern patterns that bring out a bit of your inner child — patterns that encourage you to slow down and appreciate the importance of little moments."
Check out our newest Counting Puddles collection below and even more of her patterns on our website. -- Enjoy!

Time to highlight another designer that is new to our store - The Stitch Crypt from Minnesota, USA. So many cute, creepy and spooky designs - perfect for Halloween or whenever you need a little spooky fun!
According to her website, Jen has loved creepy, spooky, and a little cute things for a long time. She grew up watching all the shows about aliens, the supernatural, cryptids, etc., and hasn't stopped believing that ghosts are real.
Fiber arts became a passion of Jen's while working towards her BFA when she realized she loved the intimacy and texture of fiber crafts.
So, in 2021 it seemed a natural fit to bring her love of cross stitch together with her love of all things creepy, spooky and cute. She started making her own patterns as a way to expel creative energy and share her love and perspective with others who enjoy the spookiness of our world.
When not stitching and designing, she spends time with her daughter, husband, and cat, Minnie.
Check out our entire collection our website! Enjoy.

Time to highlight another wonderful Canadian 🇨🇦 designer ... Tiny Modernist Cross Stitch. She has a lovely combination of modern sayings, animals, and some still have a traditional feel.
According to her website: "Tiny Modernist Cross Stitch charts are created by Canadian designer Cheryl McKinnon. She was an artist and a fashion designer before finding her true passion designing cross stitch patterns.
Her designs often use retro themes, bright colour palettes and bold graphic elements, and are influenced by her love of retro design, vintage kitchen appliances, Alexander Girard, Charley Harper, 60s fashion, and drawings of animals dressed up like people."
We have 17 new arrival patterns in our studio (one is already sold out) - some recently released and some returning favourites.
See the entire Kimat Designs collection of Tiny Modernist patterns by visiting our website. www.KimatDesigns.com and look under Patterns.
