Sunrise Youth Group was founded in 1991 by a group of high school students who wanted to ensure their peers with exceptionalities continued to enjoy recreational, social, and life skills opportunities after completing secondary school. Sunrise now offers a Day Program, Recreation Program and a Virtual Day Program to young adults and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities in the Durham Region.

๐ Did you know? Firefighters can put on their full protective gear in 1 minute so they're ready to respond quickly in an emergency!
Our Community and Day Program came together for a fun-filled afternoon of fire safety and a special visit from the Oshawa Fire Department. Participants had the chance to explore the fire truck, learn about firefighting equipment, and meet the amazing firefighters who keep our community safe.

Adventure is out there... and we found it at our cabin retreat! ๐
We had an "Incredible" time unplugging last weekend at our Pixar-themed cabin retreat! From crafts to scavenger hunts and from karaoke parties to movie nights, our members had a memorable time Brave-ing the wilderness! ๐ณ
