WindReach Farm

Wednesday, September 30th marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day – Every Child Matters.

Orange Shirt Day – Every Child Matters was established to honour Residential School Survivors, their families, and those who never returned home - it serves as a powerful reminder of the lasting impacts of the Residential School system.

The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem that many Indigenous children experienced. This day reminds us that “Every Child Matters”.
WindReach staff and volunteers will be meeting in front of the barn at 321 Townline Road in Ashburn at noon on Wednesday in their orange shirts to take a group photo. Please join us if you can.

What a wonderful morning at WindReach Farm as we celebrated the generous donation from Liz and Tom O’Brien and the O’Brien Family Foundation that made our new Small Animal Barn possible!

It’s a wonderful thing to connect a donor’s interests with a meaningful need at the Farm and then being able to show them the difference their generosity makes.

Thanks to Liz and Tom, our small animals now have a wonderful new home, and our Visitors Centre has reopened, creating a welcoming space for visitors to enjoy the Farm once again.

A very special thank you to Miles Goacher and RBC Goacher Wealth Management for introducing Liz to WindReach and helping make this connection possible.

And an even bigger thank you to Liz, Tom and the O’Brien family. We are incredibly grateful, and our small animals are pretty happy too!

Last chance to get your tickets for the September WindReach Farm Foundation 50/50! 🎉

The draw is happening tomorrow, so don’t miss your chance to win! One lucky winner will take home half of the total jackpot, while the other half helps support the inclusive, life-changing programs and experiences at WindReach Farm.

Answer to the post from a few days ago:

Can you guess how much Atlas, Jasper and Sundance's combined weight is?

⚖️🦙🦙🦙🟰❔️478 Lbs

126 lbs Atlas
170 lbs Jasper
182 lbs. Sundance

Meet our very vocal, Buff Orpington rooster named, Toby.

Time to step on the scale! Keeping a regular weight log is one of the best ways to monitor alpacas overall health, as their thick fleece can easily hide weight loss or gain. Can you guess how much Atlas, Jasper and Sundance's combined weight is? We will post the answer in a few days. Have fun!
