Didn’t even realize this was my first project of the year! This cabinet was scribed to fit, assembled on site with dowel connections at the bottom due to the severe taper in the wall that prevented the whole assembly from fitting. Wood grain edge tape matched the floor nicely, and quarter round hid all the ugly screw holes and wall gaps. Everything pictured outside of the quarter round has been reclaimed or recycled. A nice overhang and barnboard lumber provided by the client finishes this mudroom bench nicely.

Left includes the original strike plate location. Right is after moving the plate and filling/ painting the previous hole.

Early reno picks of hanging a series of passage doors. All machining is freehanded and precise. Strike plates have to be relocated and old ones filled and sanded. Handles have also been added to the new doors! I love using my portable tool skills and restoration knowledge for not only custom wood projects, but finish carpentry! Pics to follow.

Before and after on some old construction. Everything was loose and out of square. All hinges greased, doors adjusted, trim reattached. L-brackets, blocking, glue, and screws added where need be.

Christmas gift for the other half. Edge and face grain, maple/ walnut/ poplar. Hardwax oil finish. Recycled wood, and type-3 glue.

Recycled laminate and particleboard utensil rest to avoid annoying countertop wiping.
