Pulled out this old Jandy 175 that was packed tight against the brick with zero service clearance. If you can’t get panels off, you can’t maintain it. That’s how heaters die early.

Installed a new Raypak/Rheem 156 with proper clearance on all sides. Clean gas re-pipe, new shutoff, and now there’s room to actually work on it.

This is why install matters. A cheap install costs you a heater. A correct install gets you 10+ years. This heater served its purpose; it made it 22 yrs. The newer heaters are not so forgiving.

Customer’s pool will be back to swimming temp this week and they won’t have to fight this unit for service down the road.

Furnace Replacement: Napoleon to Keeprite 🔥
Just completed another successful furnace replacement — swapping out an older Napoleon high-efficiency gas furnace for a new Keeprite unit.
Our team at Boyle Energy Solutions caught the issue early thanks to our thorough inspection process. The Napoleon had a failed secondary heat exchanger, which was causing noticeable delayed ignition (that worrying pause followed by a big whoosh when the burner finally lit). These failures are unfortunately common on these units, and we always dig deep to catch them before they become a bigger safety or efficiency problem.

The transition went smoothly — existing PVC venting, gas line, and ductwork all checked out well. The new Keeprite is installed, running clean and quiet.

If your Napoleon (or any older furnace) is showing signs of delayed ignition, error codes, or reduced performance, don’t ignore it. Get it checked by professionals who take the time to do it right.
