In case you missed the end of Canucks Central today, I have some news to share…
It was a little over 16 years ago that my career with Sportsnet began. I was fresh out of college and ready to take over the sports radio world. I started as a board operator at Sportsnet 590 The FAN in Toronto, working the shows I listened to religiously as a sports fanatic. It took a few years to earn my first on-air opportunity, but I trusted the process and had some great supporters along the way.
When the chance came to join Sportsnet 650 in Vancouver for its launch in 2017, I jumped at it. Starting on evenings, moving into Reach Deep, and most recently with Canucks Central. I even got to live out a childhood dream and step into the booth to call an NHL game. I always had a blast with the work … if you can really call it that … and the passion of this market has never ceased to amaze me. I’ll carry a lifetime of memories from the Vancouver sports community, created with my coworkers, colleagues and most of all the listeners of our station.
But all good things come to an end, and I just signed off on my final show with Sportsnet 650. It’s been an honour to be a small part of this incredible team over the past 8 years, and I’m forever grateful to the listeners who embraced a “Toronto guy” from the get-go. You’re the reason work never felt like work, you made it fun, you kept me accountable, and you even made doing the one chip challenge worth it. Thank you.
I’m thankful to all of my coworkers through the years at Sportsnet, but a special shoutout to Satiar Shah and Randip Janda, my main cohosts through my time at SN650. They brought the best out of me every day, and I hope I did the same for them. I also want to thank Dave Cadeau, Craig MacEwan, Dan Toman, Cam Barra and Ryan Fabro for being instrumental in my growth from the early years up to now. I’m grateful to all of you for the opportunities you afforded me.
I’m really excited about what comes next… but more on that later. Talk soon, yeah?

I had the privilege of stepping into the play-by-play spot for the Vancouver Canucks radio broadcast on this weekend. 2games, 24 goals and an incredible amount of fun (despite the 2 losses). Play-by-play has always been a passion of mine, and I relish the opportunity to get behind the mic for opportunities like this when they come along.
