I am so sorry to hear the news today about and the ongoing thefts from their pick-your-own apple orchard. (Swipe for screenshots of the article.)

One morning early last summer a team of us woke up at 4:30 AM to photograph the owners of Shuh Orchard at sunrise for an ongoing project with . (Swipe to see their banner I spotted at the New Hamburg Fall Fair earlier this month that’s featuring this shoot!)

Let me tell you, the Shuhs are the sweetest couple and all the staff I met were wonderful. The care and attention this team puts into growing and nurturing their orchard was evident.

Our local farmers work hard not only to grow nutritious and delicious food for us, but also to create experiences that become core memories and family traditions - like picking apples together in the autumn.

Waterloo Region, we can do better. We ARE better than this.

I’ve been slowly redecorating at the studio and this has quickly become my favourite corner! Our client lounge now features a beautiful table from Schreiter's Home Furnishings, a hand made speaker that puts most compact audio speakers to shame (courtesy of my husband), and a favourite piece of artwork I acquired in my twenties!

Now that I think of it, this was likely my very first original art piece I ever purchased and I love that it was made by an old, dear friend, Katherine Michelle.

Congratulations, Brennan Connolly!! We had to keep this shoot quiet until the announcement was made today and let me tell you it was a FUN shoot. Laughter filled the studio last week!

We are thrilled to announce that Brennan Connolly has been appointed as our new Musician in Residence in the area of Percussion.🥁

Brennan is an accomplished percussionist and educator who has performed and taught across Canada and internationally. He has a passion for drumming and its ability to positively transform people and communities.
