The Waterloo Nanotechnology Conference is hiring a Speaker Relations Coordinator!
The speaker relations coordinator is responsible for selecting, contacting, and organizing the speakers that will present at the conference. This role involves maintaining professional and timely contact with many people from many backgrounds, so strong communication skills are a must! You will be researching speakers for the conference, organizing accommodations where necessary, and answer any questions the speaker guests may have about about the conference and different logistics.

The media publicity coordinator's responsibility is to manage the social media, create promotional content to generate hype for our event and let people know what we’re working on, and manage our website.

The Waterloo Nanotechnology Conference is hiring a Logistics Coordinator!
The logistics coordinator is responsible for the coordination of event location (ensuring rooms are available and booked), conference schedule, food/refreshments, photography/videography, presentation set up, custodial services, and any other additional needs such as tables/chairs, gift baskets, conference applications and reviews, etc. Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator will help other team members where needed with related tasks such as finances or mailing lists.

The Waterloo Nanotechnology Conference is hiring a Coordinator of Finance!
The finance coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all finances related to WNC. This role involves liaising with industry and academic partners to acquire funding and managing the conference budget. Additionally, the Finance Coordinator will contact businesses and order conference-related items (swag, speaker gifts, etc.).

The Waterloo Nanotechnology Conference is Hiring a Coordinator of External Affairs!
The external affairs coordinator's responsibility will be to engage with the community outside of UW to promote the Waterloo Nanotechnology Conference. We want to expand our reach beyond Waterloo to attract students and companies who want to be a part of our event. Grad students are invited to present their research, all students are encouraged to attend, and companies are invited to set up recruiting booths or financially support the event in return for marketing.

The Waterloo Nanotechnology Conference is Hiring a Coordinator of Design!
The design coordinator is responsible for designing all branding and marketing material relating to the conference. This includes materials used before the conference and the day of the conference. This role also includes contacting relevant businesses for printing, or manufacturing products that will have our custom designs (e.g. sweater printing, having plaques made for keynote speakers, printing name tags for attendees).
