Sleepless nights. Broken walls. Endless appointments.
Too many forms to fill out.
Telling your story again and again.
No words. Hitting and screaming. Ear plugs.
Frustration and worry.
Questions without answers.
Behaviour and tears.

I see it.
I see you.
I see your desperation.
I see your exhaustion.
I see the loneliness.
I see the worry and the fear.

I hear you, and I believe you.
Your experiences matter.
Your story matters.

When you are ready, I can help fight for you and with you, to get the help that you need.

Important. Essential. Vital. Deeply intimate. Sacred.

The stories I hear in my practice are all these things.
I do not take them for granted.
My sensitive heart hears them and cries too.
I have head to learn how to cope with all the feels, and to recharge myself too.

What I consider my most important job in serving my clients is to make sure people feel seen and heard.
To validate a traumatic experience.
To normalize admitting that it *is* hard to parent and it *is* hard to parent a child with special/extra needs and who are "neuro-spicy".

My job is to hold space for you and to bear witness to yours and your child's story. I hope that I am do that for you.

Neurodiversity and Neurodivergence (ND):

Do you know what it means? Do you know if you are neurodiverse?

Neurodiversity is about natural variation in the human brain and that all should be respected and recognized. Neurodivergence talks about how a person's *development* is different from the 'norm' (I would say typical not normal).

Many people often refer to Autism and ADHD when talking about ND, but the ND community includes many different neurotypes including Depression, Anxiety, Tourettes, learning disabilities, dyspraxia, dyslexia and many more.

The major point is that the ND community *values* all neurotypes, recognizes that all neurotypes have valuable contributions and values the *lived experience* of those with the diagnosis, not just the professionals who work with them. All ND individuals also deserve to be treated as whole people, worthy of accommodation and acceptance.

I haven't posted yet this year because well, life. :P The holidays were good, we got a lot of rest and way less stress than has occurred other years, and I had capacity to tackle some projects that were needing to be done in the house, so that was good.

But just like the kids going back to school on Monday, it was back to routine for me too. Work started off more gently, but man, the rest of life definitely came back harder and demanded my attention more than satisfying the algorithm that Meta needs for people to notice my biz posts.

All this to say, that if life has bitten you this week and you just can't even, then give yourself permission to just take one thing off your plate. It's okay, and other things are more important.
