Jane's Walks take place in Waterloo Region from May 1st to 3rd, with numerous walks across Waterloo.
If you’re not familiar, Jane’s Walks are citizen-led walking tours that make space for people to observe, reflect, share, question and collectively reimagine the places in which they live, work and play.
All walks are FREE and you don’t need to register to attend.

We have fun activities at the Heart of Uptown (corner of King and William), where you can also pick up a printed map of participating businesses handing out treats (over 40 this year!!!), as well as activities in Waterloo Public Square.

Celebrate the return of Spring at the Annual Uptown Egg Hunt! This year’s Egg Hunt is April 11 from 11AM-2PM, with over 40 businesses handing out treats and free activities happening at both the Heart of Uptown (Corner of King and William) and Waterloo Public Square.
The first 100 visitors to the Heart of Uptown will receive a free Uptown tote!

One of the most powerful moments at In Full Bloom – Speaker & Discussion at the International Women's Day Market was the “Give Her Flowers” segment, where local women entrepreneurs recognized and celebrated fellow women entrepreneurs across Waterloo Region.
BIA Chair Melissa Durrell began by recognizing Courtney and Adrianna of Hustl + Flow as a true staple of the Uptown community.
Courtney followed by passing her flower to Ashley of Poppy's Bagel and Bakery, sharing her admiration for the way she runs her business and the dedication she brings to it.
Ashley recognized Ajoa of Four All Ice Cream, reflecting on the joy of getting ice cream as a child and how Four All brings that same feeling back to the community.
Christy, Placemaking & Outreach Manager of the Uptown Waterloo BIA, accepted the flowers on Ajoa’s behalf. She recognized Ksenia, Small Business Advisor with the City of Waterloo, who runs the annual International Women’s Day Market and helped make the auditorium space available to the BIA so we could plan and host this event. It truly would not have been possible without her support.
Christy then passed the final flower to Haley of Charmed Flowers and Gifts Inc., who shared heartfelt gratitude for the women in this community who have supported her like family, before opening the flower pass to the audience. Each attendee then received a flower of their own to share with a woman who inspires them.
We are so grateful to everyone who came together to make this moment so special. Celebrating and supporting women-led businesses across Waterloo Region was at the heart of this event, and we’re so excited to do it again next year!

In Full Bloom-Speaker & Discussion at the International Women's Day Market was amazing last night!
A truly special moment came during the “Give Her Flowers” segment, when women passed flowers to recognize one another.
Haley from Charmed Flowers and Gifts Inc. shared a heartfelt message that brought the whole room together and perfectly captured the spirit of the evening: women supporting women.
