Simple peasant loaf, fresh from the oven. OMGosh the kitchen smells so good ๐Ÿ˜Š it has oatmeal, flax, and a combination of whole wheat and white flour ๐ŸŒพ

Things are starting to look a bit wild in the garden, the rain has made all of the seedlings perk up. I know it looks like chaos, but most of this stuff is growing on purpose ๐Ÿ‘€

Fresh lovage from the garden, all bundled and ready for pick up โ˜บ๏ธ It's one of the first perennials to pop up in my yard and tastes phenomenal. This little bundle is off to its new home, but Iโ€™m just so glad to see the garden officially waking up for the season!

There's lots of things you can grow without spending money on seeds.

Corporations want us to believe that growing food is something you have to purchase in a beautifully branded packet. But the seeds you scrape out of a pepper? Those will grow. A slice of tomato can be dropped right in a pot of soil, cover it up and boom -- plant babies ๐ŸŒฑ

Dried beans are shelf stable food and will also grow in your garden. They're doing double duty in your pantry.

Ditch the barcodes. Plant your scraps.

Some garden update photos โ˜บ๏ธ Everything looks so beautiful and I'm excited to see how much all of my little seedlings are thriving.

What's growing in your gardens, pals?

For today's pickup, Iโ€™ve included a fresh bundle of lovage to go home with these eggs ๐ŸŒฑ

If you havenโ€™t used lovage yet, it tastes like a concentrated mix of celery and parsley with a peppery bite. It's incredibly aromatic and a little definitely goes a long way!

The flock has been busy, and we have fresh, beautiful eggs available today. Because we operate as a small backyard project, we don't commercially sell our eggs -- instead, we love connecting with our neighbors through trades or small donations to help fund our feed and ongoing projects! ๐ŸŒพ

If youโ€™d like to claim todayโ€™s batch, itโ€™s first come, first served for porch pickup! Drop a comment or send a DM.

Want to be on the insider list? ๐Ÿ“ฌ If you miss out today but want a heads-up the next time the girls have a surplus ready, send us a quick message to let us know youโ€™re interested in future availability!

What's your favorite thing to trade? We love homegrown veggies, sourdough, or just swapping stories!

From the tiny sprouts pushing through the leaf mulch to the first bright pop of a marigold, every corner of the plot is bursting with life today. Thereโ€™s something so satisfying about the transition from indoor seed starting to the real-world grit of the garden beds.
