inspiration always strikes in the weirdest of ways -- let me explain
whenever i notice myself losing traction in my creative practice, stepping back helps me regain my footing faster than digging in. you can't force good art out of yourself.
spending time away from my art and engaging in other hobbies often is the thing that inspires me to paint again, and it usually happens FAST. one evening of crocheting or gaming has me ready to tape up some new paper the next morning.
you don't have to be "always on" to be successful in this life. it's a marathon, not a sprint. remember to do some living along the way!
