Making Math Fun with Waterloo Wayside!

Waterloo Wayside is excited to launch our FREE After-School JUMP Math Program & Cooking Club for students in Grades 7 & 8!

The program combines structured JUMP Math tutoring, homework support, community mentorship, and hands-on cooking activities to help students strengthen their math skills, build confidence, and learn practical life skills.

Completely free of charge — materials, food, and equipment are provided!

What an amazing day for our 6th annual Ride for Wayside! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to ride, walk, volunteer, donate, and support Waterloo Wayside.

Together, we raised over $4,000 to support Wayside’s work building community and creating meaningful connections in downtown Waterloo!

We’re so grateful to all of our organizers, team leaders, volunteers, riders, walkers, and donors who helped make this year’s event such a success. A special shoutout to the Alpha Omicron Pi team for coming out and joining the walking route!

Interested in joining the Wayside team and community?

We're looking to hire an Instructional Lead for our JUMP Math After-School Program that will be re-starting this October 📚 This position will be 3.5 hours/week on-site at 22 Bridgeport Rd W., Waterloo. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt until September 11th. Early applications are encouraged - the position will be filled as soon as possible with a qualified candidate!

On Saturday, September 12th the annual Ride for Wayside fundraiser will be held 🚴‍♀️

Our bike teams will ride a 25km loop starting in Iron Horse Trail or a 5km loop through Ring Road. There are many ways to join and support us for this event:
