BECOMING MEN: RUJULA COACHING CLASS

Alhamdulillah. I just finished the 10th class of my program, Becoming Men: Rujula Coaching. We've come a long way at establishing a holistic theory and practice of manhood.

I started from the ground up by establishing an understanding of the proper sources and order of knowledge.

We marry a top-down approach with a bottom-up approach by practising techniques and implementing tools that help each man rewire their nervous system, hone their expression, release disintegrated shame, and build up their frame solidly.

The students have reported tremendous shifts! It's been remarkable and deeply moving to witness.

From making breakthroughs in feeling anxious, disembodied and disconnected, to understanding how important authority (ex. frame and magnetism) is in meeting interdependent needs.

Crippled marriages deprived of respect and intimacy due to inverted gender dynamics, have been revived.

Men who struggled to navigate women, especially in our dysfunctional environment that misguide many, now understand how to relate to women, as men.

Some have even gotten married as a result.

Bonds of brotherhood have deepened, by understanding how to effectively cooperate, with integrity, and follow others who are more competent in any given area, without ego.

Others have made serious shifts in addiction-recovery. Despite developing these addictions through disorderly early childhood environments, brothers have witnessed their capacity to regenerate.

By harnessing the principles of pain and pleasure, and understanding jalaali and jamaali energy, they're realizing how deeply their nervous systems can be healed.

Experiencing more of the world with deeper connection to a wider range of feeling and uninhibited expression, is necessary for relationships to thrive.

Letting go of layers of harmful conditioning, is as important as learning proper form.

Our journeys progress, when we finally understand that. It's been an honour and a pleasure to see this understanding develop in these gentlemen.

: Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the men of our Ummah who give and give and give, whether they're bashed, shamed, or demonized left, right and center, and who are the stewards of their families till their very ends; and to the fathers who have tirelessly tried to be reunited with their children despite entire systems tearing them away and feeding them lies about their fathers.

May the truth of your grace, nobility, majesty and love be made clear on that Day, if it's not here and now, and may your every footsteps be covered in His Gentleness, Mercy, and Provision. May you all be surrounded by wonderful and loving families, and may your bonds with your children be beautified daily. Ameen.

ABOUT US:

The BD-KW Welfare Foundation is a non-profit registered charity in good standing with the Province of Ontario, and was founded by my parents and a number of pioneering community volunteers and activists in our locality. My father is currently the president of the organization. We've raised funds and/or donated medical equipment for numerous projects around the world over the past decade, alhamdulillah. To read more about our organization, see here: https://www.bdkwwf.org/about-us/ and feel free to ask me any questions. We're accountable and transparent.

DONATIONS FOR PALESTINE:

Most recently, the BD-KW Welfare Foundation is raising donations for Palestinian families who have been devastated by the recent onslaught by oppressive Zionist forces and brutal military strikes. These attacks targeted and resulted in numerous civilian deaths, destruction of media buildings, medical centers etc. Any support and relief we can provide is a communal obligation and worthwhile, in-sha'Allah.

COLLECTIONS:

You can contact me privately and I'll share our donation options for you to choose from, if you're interested in contributing. Zionists in Canada (ex. the JDL), have been targeting various fundraisers for Palestine to try and shut them down. We're avoiding their pathetic attempts this way, in-sha'Allah and alhamdulillah 😎🙏🏼👊🏽.

Allah increase y'all! Ameen.

BarakAllahu feekum 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.

: RUJULA, EMOTIONAL RANGE AND MASCULINE EMBODIMENT WORKSHOP

Bismillah!

Aside from the faux and inconsistent vulnerability of feminist caricatures of "positive masculinity" and often shallow, cultural caricatures of machismo, boys and young men have little else to inform themselves about how to frame their emotions and manhood. Understandably, they struggle even more with actually accessing their full emotional range and embodying their uniquely masculine functions authentically and competently.

Muslim boys and men in the Diaspora, have even more complex problems that weigh on how they frame and experience emotions, due to their displacement from their own Tradition and cultures, and the inevitable identity clashes and sociopolitical pressures they must face and navigate.

The universal imperatives and guidelines of our Deen cannot be divorced from our framing, experiencing and embodiment of emotions. How we are taught to regulate and express these in order to lean into our capacities, responsibilities and even rights---as men, are in need of serious exploration.

That's what my aim is tonight with the brothers over at Western MSA in-sha'Allah!

+ : i3 MUSLIM MANHOOD CONFERENCE

: MANHOOD BELIEVERS' TRIBE CONFERENCE

After years of online and offline discourse within our communities, on topics related to gender theory and practice, relationships, and ideological controversies that have challenged many -- i3 Institute is teaming together with international speakers, scholars, and/or grass-roots activists to address boys' and mens' issues. These issues have gone without proper framing or treatment for too long, and tremendous suffering and social dysfunctions have festered in the vacuum that exists as a result. By and large, those who have been filling this vacuum, promote imbalanced or outright fallacious takes.

My topic will be centered around an engaging workshop that dives into proper framing and modelling of manhood and masculinity, in light of what we know of the Deen legally, what we know about the world empirically, and what we can infer from these. I'll be examining how masculinities have been constructed traditionally, and then deconstructed and reconstructed in the modern and postmodern contexts, and what Muslim boys and men need to focus on in order to maximize their potency as functional men across social contexts.

Change Your Brain: Neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Huberman | Rich Roll Podcast 11/03/2020

: THE ART AND SCIENCE OF TRANSFORMATION

Neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Huberman is a remarkable man who has lived a life of practical wisdom gleaned from serious trial and error. He set forth to overcome his own crippling life-challenges rooted in a lack of focus and structure around a hierarchy of values and meaning.

In this podcast interview with The Rich Roll Podcast, he shares his beautiful anecdotal accounts and scientific insights on the art and science of transformation.

We underestimate our capacity to 'change' and make breakthroughs. We also underestimate the value of those breakthroughs. While our environments and sociopolitical structures remain limiting factors to our own transformative abilities, what we *can* achieve remains remarkable and can be the catalyst for far-reaching consequences societally, too.

: PROCESS OVER OUTCOME

Excessive outcome fixations derail commiting to a sound process. What processes underlie your optimal well-being and performance, across your life?

10/02/2020

We must resist the temptation to project our bad experiences with individuals, based on group identity and our assumptions around narratives, onto every new person we engage, such that we don't demonize them from the get go.
