We’ve made our final decision!!! ☀️☀️☀️

Today the scholarship committee met for 3 hours to narrow down our choices to the top 6 applications. 212 applications, 811 pages, + weeks of reading, we’ve come to a unanimous decision 🙌🏼

This committee is incredible yall. Izabel, Naime + Serena care just as deeply as I do about this scholarship. They do this for *free* and it is truly a labour of love 💘 most of our discussion throughout this process is how to ensure we’re reviewing applications through an equitable + feminist lens. It’s magic ✨

The Chica Project is proud to announce that applications for the 2024 Like a Chica Scholarship are now open! 🙌🏼

This year, we’re awarding 6 scholarships of $1,000 each to students pursuing post-secondary education in Ontario. We’re looking for applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to giving back and making a positive impact.

We did it! We raised $6000 for the Like a Chica Scholarship fund 😭❤️

I want to thank everyone who has supported this scholarship - I don’t have the words to express my gratitude. Over the past three years, we’ve been able to raise $13,000 and award 13 scholarships to female students making a difference in their community 🙌🏼 we obviously mean serious business about creating opportunities for women around here 💅🏼
