A special Friday meeting with our Rotary Club ❤️

We were so happy to welcome so many guests to our Member Guest meeting today. Thank you for joining us, learning more about Rotary, and supporting the incredible work being done within our community. 🙌🏼

One of the most meaningful moments of the morning was presenting a $10,000 donation to Marillac Place in memory of our longtime member, Harold Freure. Marillac Place provides transitional shelter and support for women who are pregnant or parenting children under 2, and we are honoured to support such an important organization while celebrating Harold’s lasting impact on our club and community.

A special thank you as well to our guest speaker, Bob Egan of Blue Rodeo, for sharing his inspiring personal story. His honesty, resilience, and message about overcoming disengagement and uncertainty truly resonated with everyone in the room. An incredible speaker and a reminder that no matter the challenges, it’s possible to overcome it all.

A meaningful meeting filled with community, connection, and inspiration. ✨

Nine new members, one shared purpose 💫

There’s something really special about watching our Rotary family grow, especially with people who carry the same passion for giving back and making a difference. Today’s induction wasn’t just about welcoming new faces, it was about strengthening a community rooted in connection, service, and heart.

Here’s to 9 incredible individuals who’ve chosen to lead with purpose and live out “Service Above Self.” The future of our club just got even brighter ✨

A heartfelt thank you to for hosting our club at his new recording studio last night! 🎶🎶

It was such a special experience not only touring the space, but learning more about Ian, a Rotarian, and friend and someone who has poured years of passion into building something truly incredible for our community! Seeing it all come to life and the way it’s helping elevate music locally was inspiring! 🎵🎤🎵

And that’s what Rotary is all about. Yes, the impact and the work we do matter, but so do the people. Gathering with those that feel like family, celebrating each other’s accomplishments, and taking time to connect in meaningful ways. 👏🏼🎸🎸

The evening was perfectly finished with an amazing dinner by making it a truly memorable night for our club. 🙏👏🏼👏🏼

And that’s a wrap on another wunderbar K-W Oktoberfest. 🍻🍻 Canada’s largest Bavarian festival with food, music, a parade, and maybe a little 🍺.

Thanks to the for kicking off the celebrations last week with the Oktoberfest Luncheon. Our club was happy to be part of the festivities. 🎉🎉

As usual the club met for lunch on Friday, but last week was different from the rest. The room was filled, the energy high, with special guest, Kitchener Mayor, Berry Vrbanovic. We were honoured to have him join our regular meeting to talk about the future of the city and have his support with Rotary in the community. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Many non-members joined us as the club shared more about what makes Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club and exciting and rewarding place to be. Hopefully we’ve inspired some new members to join. A place where we are passionate about giving back to our community and Internationally.

On September 15th the comes together to support women and children in our community with the annual charity golf tournament. We are proud to announce this year’s funds raised will go to support as our local recipient. 🩵🩵

Thank you Dieter and Roz Kay for hosting another annual family picnic at your home. 🍔🌭

It’s become a tradition of the club to meet here every summer along with our family members. We had a beautiful evening of delicious food, vintage vehicles, and great company. ❤️❤️
