Therapy, life coaching, and crisis assistance when you need it. Mental health is something that each person should prioritize and care for. Yes, that means moms.

Yes, that means people of African descent. Yes, that means college students. Yes, that means you! I am here to provide counselling and help if you need it.

💁🏾‍♀️ Strength got you here.
But it’s not supposed to cost you your peace.

The “Strong Black Woman” role is often praised…
but rarely unpacked.

Because behind that strength is often:
holding everything in
pushing through when you’re exhausted
feeling like you can’t fall apart, even when you need to.

And over time, that doesn’t just feel heavy.
It feels isolating.

You deserve support.
You deserve softness.
You deserve to not always be the one holding everything together.

Strength can be part of you,
but it doesn’t have to be ALL of you.

📲 Send this to someone who’s always “the strong one.”

Mental Health Awareness Month may be coming to a close, but mental health doesn’t operate on a calendar.

For many Black individuals and communities, the conversations we’re having now are ones that should have been happening all along. Openly, safely, and without shame.

Let this month be a reminder, not a moment:

• Your healing doesn’t need permission.
• Rest is still valid.
• Support is still available.
• And you don’t have to wait until next May to prioritize yourself.

We’ll keep showing up here, beyond the awareness posts and hashtags, because mental health is everyday work.

What’s one thing you’re committing to as we move forward?

You’re not “too much.”
You’re just used to handling too much… alone.

Survival mode doesn’t always look chaotic.
Sometimes it looks like being high-functioning, reliable, and “on top of things”… while quietly feeling exhausted.

Because when your body learns that it has to stay ready, alert, and self-sufficient,
it doesn’t just switch off when life gets calmer.

It keeps going.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about teaching your mind and body that you’re allowed to feel safe now.

And that takes time.

If this felt familiar, you’re not alone in it. 🫶🏾

📌 Save this for the days you feel like you have to carry everything by yourself.

05/19/2026

You don’t need a perfect routine to take care of yourself… just a few intentional moments to start your day.

If your mornings have been feeling rushed, heavy, or all over the place 👉🏾 this is your reminder that it can be simple.

Small shifts. Real impact. 💙

Would you try this routine?
Drop a 🌿 if you’re giving it a go.

If setting boundaries feels uncomfortable… you’re not imagining it.

For many of us, we were taught:
• Be available
• Be strong
• Don’t disappoint people
• Don’t “cause problems”

So when you start choosing yourself, it can feel like guilt… or even like you’re doing something wrong.

But you’re not.

Boundaries aren’t about pushing people away.
They’re about protecting your capacity, your energy, and your well-being.

And if this is something you’re struggling with, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is simply say enough.

Boundaries aren’t walls, they’re declarations of self-respect, care, and growth. 🌿

She protects her peace, honors her energy, and grows anyway.
💛 Double-tap if this resonates.
🔁 Share to remind someone else that their energy matters too.

Mother’s Day can bring up a lot of emotions, and not all of them are easy.

For some, it’s grief.
For others, it’s distance, tension, or complicated relationships.
And for many mothers, it can feel overwhelming instead of celebratory.

Whatever this day brings up for you… your feelings are valid.

You don’t have to force happiness.
You don’t have to explain your emotions.
And you’re allowed to honor the day in a way that feels right for you. 🫶🏾🌸

05/05/2026

Mother’s Day is often framed as a celebration; but that’s not everyone’s experience.

For some, it brings up grief.
For others, it highlights distance or unresolved relationships.
And for many, it can feel overwhelming in ways that aren’t always acknowledged.

If this time feels complicated for you, there’s nothing wrong with that.

You don’t have to reshape your feelings to fit the day.

You’re allowed to move through it in a way that feels honest and supportive to you. 🫶🏾

We’ll be sharing something later this week for those navigating this in real time.
📲 Be sure you’re following so you don’t miss it.

Spring has a way of making it feel like you should be doing more… or feeling better.

“New season, new you.”
“Time to reset.”
“Get back on track.”

But what if you’re still tired?
Still processing?
Still figuring things out?

Healing doesn’t follow the calendar.

You’re allowed to move at your own pace, even when everything around you is speeding up.

There’s nothing wrong with you for not feeling “new” yet.

Stress doesn’t always look like falling apart.

Sometimes it looks like showing up, pushing through, and carrying more than you should.

For many of us, managing stress isn’t just about routines, it’s about learning how to pause, soften, and support ourselves in ways we weren’t always taught.

If today feels heavy, start small. One breath. One boundary. One moment to check in with yourself.

You don’t have to carry everything at once. 🤍
