The Math GSA AGM will be held virtually on Friday February 25th from 4-5pm. The meeting will be facilitated on Microsoft Teams, and we will be sending out a meeting link to your uwaterloo email accounts. The AGM is your chance to hear what the Math GSA is all about and ask any questions you might have about the Math GSA!
We will be holding a referendum at this year’s meeting in order to vote on a few proposed bylaw changes. This year we are voting on an important change to our funding structure which will allow us to continue running some of our most popular events, so it is especially important that you attend and vote. Check your email for more information!

A message from Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs:
Registration is now open for the 2021-2022 GRADflix competition, a research communication initiative for graduate students.
Participants will create a one-minute video that describes their research to a general audience. A panel of judges selects a shortlist of finalists, whose videos will be showcased in a live virtual event in January, where the winners will be decided. No prior experience with video creation is required.
Any grad student who is interested can attend the GRADflix training session on Nov 1 (that's tomorrow!) to learn everything they need to know to create a short, engaging video. Attendance for those who plan to participate is strongly encouraged. Registration is required. Questions about GRADflix can be directed to [email protected].

Given how successful the last one was, the Math GSA will be hosting another outdoor Coffee and Donuts Social this week on Thursday, October 21st (1-3pm). Come join us on the Grad House Green (just outside the Graduate House) for some yummy desserts, and plenty of tea and coffee! The event will run rain 🌧️ or shine 🌞, so make sure you bring a jacket in case the weather decides not to cooperate (but keep your fingers crossed that it does cooperate)!
Check your Uwaterloo email for the Eventbrite registration link.
We hope to see you there!

It’s been a long time, but the Math GSA Coffee & Donuts Social is back! This popular event was put on hold for the past year or so as a result of the pandemic, but we hope to bring everyone together once again this week. We will be hosting the event outside (weather permitting) just beside the Grad House (Grad House Green) on Wednesday September 29th, from 1-3pm (that’s this Wednesday!).
We hope that you will join us for coffee, tea, donuts/pastries, and of course, a chance to meet your colleagues/peers in person!
