Man Made Hill bio:
The solo project of Hamilton, Ontario’s Randy Gagne, has been steadily percolating in the Canadian experimental underground for 20 + years. Originating in the basement murk of the DIY noise tape scene, he has thus blossomed into a confusing, and exciting synth-pop freak! His live offering congeals performance art, delusional funk, and existential comedy into a dank and bewildering physical experience. Also a prolific producer, Randy has released 20+ full length albums with labels such as Orange Milk Records, Telephone Explosion Records, Pleasance, Bennifer Editions, Hobo Cult, Capohedz, et.al. “Hailing from 44km West of the Cambridge OnRoute Mark It Zero began in 2009, self-releasing an EP that year and a full length in 2010 on Juicebox Records (RIP). Mark It Zero has been working on their follow up EP for the past 17 years, nearly twice as long as Chinese Democracy with half the number of tracks and at less than 1.15% of the budget (we think?)! Those recording sessions became so intense that it nearly destroyed the band, but after 17 years Mark It Zero have nearly completed their masterpiece and are set to unleash this epic titan on the unsuspecting ears of the KW music scene.”
