Ward 7 really cares about its trees. If you have time, consider volunteering from May 24-27 at the 2026 Ontario Envirothon at University of Waterloo,. Sign up here! https://forestscanada.jotform.com/260645205729055
The Ontario Envirothon provides students with hands-on experience with forests, soils, wildlife, and aquatic ecosystems, while team-based activities are designed to develop critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
The program challenges students to showcase their environmental knowledge for a chance advance to the provincial competition. Hear teams of students put their hard-earned knowledge to the test for the chance to represent Ontario in the NCF-Envirothon.

ICYMI this guy… waded deep into municipal waters when none of us had any information, asked a lot of good questions, and wrote a series of informative articles in the to shed light on what happened to our water and why. And then he won a national newspaper award for it… the last big scoop of his career (he just retired). In depth local journalism matters. It is one of the pillars of a functioning democracy because it allows us to collectively ask questions and get answers. Congratulations Terry! Can’t wait to see what you do next.
