PROBLEMS… PROBLEMS…
Sometimes the toughest problems have the simplest solutions — you just have to think outside the box.
I often get asked, “What do you do?” — especially in the winter. The name Next Step Landscaping and Nursery can make it sound like we only handle landscaping and nursery services. And while that’s a big part of what we do, it’s far from the whole story.
It’s interesting how a business name can sometimes limit how people see your skill set. I’m constantly thinking about new names that might better reflect what we actually do — which is solve problems. While changing an incorporated business name isn’t exactly simple, letting the mind wander often leads to creative, outside-the-box solutions for our clients.
If you (or someone you know) has a problem that needs a fresh perspective, reach out. Our services go far beyond what the name Next Step Landscaping and Nursery might suggest.
We’re here to help — whatever the season.

Part 2: sometimes we need to prune a branch off a tree that is larger than ideal. Or perhaps you lost a limb during a storm. The first picture shows an example of a large wound to this tree, which will begin to rot if left alone. The rotting area will spread as the tree grows making it weak and unstable.

This is where the ‘wounding’ technique will come in once again to support the regeneration of cells. Over time this area of the tree will heal over.

Swipe 👈🏻 left to see how you can ‘wound’ this type of damage. Use your pruners to scrape the area around the section you want to heal.
