Memorial Veteran Banner Project
Working with our communities to honour our Veterans. Communities across Canada have similar projects such as this, we just decided to take it one step further.
Working with Legions, Community Organizations and Individuals we are focused on providing as many Memorial Banners as possible to Honour our Veterans. The program is designed so that it does not matter how many banners are needed 1 - 101. Our goal is to take the numerous names that we see on cenotaphs, plaques, newspapers and the history books and put a picture to it.

Another year has passed and more Veterans are remembered in various communities across this great Nation. It gets harder and harder working on this program...this year, 2 banners that came through the shop were of people I knew, I served with and respected.
As we spend this day honouring our fellow Canadians who swore to defend this Nation, it does not matter if you attend a service or a ceremony, just that you take the time to acknowledge that the freedoms you enjoy today are from the sacrafice of so few.
Thanks to everyone who supports this project that I hold dear and for your patience when things don't go right and for your support when everything works out. Without you, this program would not be able to help honour those who deserve it most.
To my brothers and sisters who wore the uniform, currently still do, and to the future generations that follow in our footsteps....thank you. You are not forgotten. You will be remembered.

As we start 2024, programs are starting to send in their applications for new banners to be created. We are also going through the steps to bring on new communities who want to start a program this year. If you are looking for a banner, or wish to start a program in your community, drop us a line. If you know someone in a community that doesn't have a program yet, share this with them and lets get these banners hanging everywhere acrosss Canada.
Town of Yarmouth Extends Memorial Banner Program
Monday, January 15, 2024 - Yarmouth, N.S. – In the fall of 2021, the Town of Yarmouth introduced a program to commemorate local veterans through the Memorial Banner Program. The program has been well-received since that time, resulting in the creation of 80 total banners that have been proudly displayed in downtown Yarmouth. As 2024 begins, the Town of Yarmouth is pleased to announce a program extension to allow for the creation of 50 new banners.
For those interested in applying, please note the following important information:
➡ 50 banners are available for purchase, open to veterans who served in our Canadian Armed Forces.
➡ This round of banners is for veterans who have not yet been honoured with a banner under this program.
➡ The cost for each banner is $175.00 tax and shipping included.
➡ The new banners will be placed on Main Street.
➡ Banner size is 24” x 36”, double-sided. More than one veteran can be placed on an individual banner.
➡ The 50 spots will be chosen through a draw/lottery. Anyone wishing to be entered into the draw for a banner can visit Yarmouth Town Hall, 400 Main Street. The deadline to enter is 4:30 pm on Wednesday, January 31st. You must provide the veteran’s name, along with your contact information.
➡ A draw will take place on Thursday, February 1st. Once the draw is completed, winners will be notified as soon as possible.
➡ The veteran’s name and service details will be displayed on the banner, along with the sponsor’s name.
➡ Banners will be put up on October 11th and removed on November 12th.
➡ Town of Yarmouth Parks Department will store the banners and put up them up for Remembrance Day for 3 years. After the 3 years the banners are given to the participants.
➡ This program is open to residents of the Town of Yarmouth and the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth.
In addition to Yarmouth, the Memorial Banner Program has been a true success in dozens of communities. It honours our veterans across Canada on full colour, heavy duty banner material to be displayed in communities around Remembrance Day.

Been quiet on social for a while - going to changed that. Lots in the works for 2024. Watch and shoot.
A Veteran with PTSD fell into a hole and couldn’t get out. When a civilian walked by, the Veteran called out for help, but the civilian yelled back, "Suck it up son, dig deep, and drive on," then threw him a shovel. The Veteran did as he was told and dug that hole deeper.
Another stranger went by and the Veteran called out for help again. The stranger told him, "use the tools and online training that has been given to you", then threw him a bucket. The Veteran used the tools and he dug the hole deeper still and filled the bucket.
A psychiatrist walked by. The Veteran called, “Help! I can’t get out!”, so the psychiatrist gave him some drugs and said, "Take this. It will relieve the pain and you will forget about the hole.” The Veteran said, "thanks", and followed his advice, but when the pills ran out he was still in the hole.
A well-known psychologist rode by and heard the Veteran's cries for help. He stopped and asked, “How did you get there? Were you born there? Did your parents put you there? Tell me about yourself, it will alleviate your sense of loneliness.” So the Veteran talked with him for an hour, then the psychologist had to leave, but he said he’d be back next week. The Veteran thanked him, but he was still in the hole.
Another Veteran, just like him, happened to be passing by. The Veteran with PTSD cried out, “Hey, help me. I’m stuck in this hole!” and right away the other Veteran jumped down in there with him. The Veteran with PTSD started to panic and said, “What are you doing? Now we’re both stuck down here!” But the other Veteran just smiled and replied, “It’s okay, calm down, brother. I’ve been here before..... I know how to get out.”
This is very important as we get closer to the Christmas Season. You are not alone and many of us care about you.
If you made it to the end of this post and feel like you're in a hole with no way out, reach out to me. Or call the number below:

A little rush job in order to get this designed, printed and delivered to Town of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia but we got it done.
The town's program was a huge success last year. They had room for 50 banners and had that many plus applications in less than 3 hours. This year they expanded the program with another 30 spots and again had an abundace of interest.
One family submitted James' application, who is going to be 105 this year. We were asked if we could print and deliver his banner early so that they could share it with him. Of course we had to step up to that request.
James - if we miss it - Happy BDay sir...and thank you for your service.
