Level 2 takes dedication, consistency, and teamwork, and these teams have worked incredibly hard to build on their foundation skills and take their training to the next level. From improving reliability around distractions to strengthening communication and engagement, each team has made fantastic progress throughout the course.

We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and grateful to have been part of your training journey. Keep up the great work!

We’d also like to recognize Reggie and Tilly, who were unable to attend tonight but have worked just as hard throughout the course. We are incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished!

From learning the foundations of obedience to building stronger relationships with your handlers, each of these dogs has made fantastic progress. Thank you all for trusting us with your training journey, we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

I’ll be placing an order this weekend with The Lodge For Paws for their handmade EM tick collars, if anyone would like one added onto my order let me know! 🐾

For anyone unfamiliar with EM collars - they’re made with special ceramic beads that are designed to help naturally repel ticks by making dogs less attractive to them. A lot of people use them as an extra layer of protection during tick season, especially for dogs that spend lots of time hiking, in fields, at trials, camping, etc.

These are a non-toxic, chemical-free option that many people use as an added layer of protection during tick season, especially for dogs frequently in bush, tall grass, trials, hikes, etc. They’re waterproof, lightweight, and meant to be worn full time alongside your dog’s regular collar.

Important: these are NOT a replacement for veterinary flea/tick prevention. They are best used as an additional preventative measure alongside your regular meds to help reduce the number of ticks ending up on your dog in the first place. As with any preventative, they are not 100% guaranteed and regular tick checks are still important.

The collars take a few weeks of consistent wear to fully activate and should be rinsed monthly + dried in the sun to help recharge the beads. Lifespan is roughly 10–12 months.

We are hosting our very first Barn Hunt Fun Match on June 1st at 6:30PM in Walkerton, ON! Whether you’ve stepped in the barn hunt ring once before or you’re looking for a fun night to practice with your dog, this is for you.

Barn hunt is such an amazing way to build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and let dogs tap into their natural instincts in a safe and rewarding environment. Watching dogs problem solve, gain confidence, and genuinely LOVE what they’re doing is one of the best parts of this sport.

This fun match is designed to be low pressure, welcoming, and beginner friendly. All breeds, ages, and skill levels are welcome, whether you have a sport dog, pet dog, nervous dog, or a dog that just loves to sniff!

Come hang out, learn something new, and let your dogs do what they love most 🐾

Getting out and doing something with your dog just for fun is one of the best ways to build your bond. You’re learning to work together, reading each other better, and tackling a new challenge as a team — all while letting your dog tap into their natural instincts and actually use their brain. It’s confidence building, enrichment, and teamwork all in one (and yes… it’s just as fun as it looks 🐀).

✨ Intro to Barn Hunt – ‘dog edition’ ✨
If your dog loves to sniff, explore, climb, or problem solve… they are going to LOVE this.

🐾 What to expect:
• Safe, controlled intro to barn hunt using real (but fully protected) rats
• Dogs never come into direct contact — safety is always #1
• Build hunt drive, confidence, and focus
• Learn the basics of searching, indication, and working as a team
• Lots of cheering, laughs, and “omg they found it!!” moments

This session is for handlers only (no dogs) and is all about helping you understand the sport before jumping in — we’ll cover what Barn Hunt is, how it works, the different levels, and most importantly how we keep both dogs and rats safe. There will also be demos so you can see it all in action!

Whether you’re brand new or just thinking about trying something fun with your dog, this is a great way to learn in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.
