The A.C.T kit is a wellness kit or toolbox for you to use and build upon while experiencing anxiety, peer pressure, depression or any mental health illness.
It is not a substitute for treatment and should not be used as such.

My favourite part of the A.C.T kit is the notepad and pen. Journaling is a big part of a mental health journey. I’ve found writing down thoughts from head to paper often gives us a little more perspective or let’s us accept the thought, good or bad. Writing for me is a coping mechanism I use on a regular basis and allows me to understand my mind when it’s going a mile a minute.
You then have those thoughts to read, to work through with yourself or with a friend or trusted source in your life. Your mind doesn’t work a 9-5 schedule, it doesn’t pick and choose when you will have a negative thought or an experience that triggers something for you. Having the pen and pad with you in the kit which can be in your backpack or purse or desk drawer or car glovebox gives you a solid tool.
I encourage anyone to try journaling… even one sentence can turn into something positive.

If it’s one thing I struggled with, it was knowing I was enough. My love for mental health awareness came from feeling like I was never enough, in friendships, in employment, in school, as a teenager, as an adult, as a mom and wife. Life can be hard, no one will tell you differently but knowing you are always enough is a huge stepping stone in the right direction.
These kits are meant to be a safety net. One you can add to as you go along. What comes inside is only meant as a stepping stone to help you have the comfort of your tools at your fingertips.
Over the next few days I’ll highlight again what comes in the kits, why I think it’s important and how you can get one.
Remember, you are enough. ❤️
Happy 2022, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve updated this page- a lot has happened and my mental health was taking a stroll, so I didn’t want to be a “guide” in the wrong direction but my plan is in 2022 to get these kits back up and running and into as many hands, purses, desks, gloveboxes and backpacks as possible! I believe that someone’s mental health should be as important to their physical health and my goal is to help others along the way of helping myself!
Here’s to the new year and more mental health awareness! I’ll share as much of my journey as you will all allow me! ❤️

Hey all! I’ve been quiet! I’m very sorry- life handed me some ups and downs and I’ve recently
Moved with my husband who’s military to Alberta! We just finished settling in and I start a new job Monday! I promise to get back up promoting my ACT kits soon and get everyone one who needs one!

I believe it’s important for people to know who to contact- where they can go once they have decided that’s their next step. It took me years to admit to myself I needed help, but once I decided it was a matter of where! It’s incredibly important for people to know they aren’t alone! No one is alone- if I help one person with these kits- with my passion then I’ve done my job!

The sensory spiky ring is a lot like a fidget toy- in this kit it’s a ring that you roll up and down your finger when stressed or need to manage anxiety. It’s takes your train of thought away from what’s happening or what your thinking and allows you to concentrate on something else- these rings are amazing! Each kit has one ring in them!

Another part of the ACT kit is 5 individual breathing exercises. These can be done anywhere at anytime! Often times we just need to breath, relax our brain and find solitude in the silence. Breathing exercises have been truly helpful to me and I often do them without even noticing now. I felt it important to include this in the kit as they are a tool that is easily remembered and active.

I believe that writing thoughts down when your experiencing anxiety, stress, panic or depression helps validate your thoughts. I believe that it allows you to see them as a tangible thing. Thoughts running through our heads a million miles a minute, often times it’s hard to remember them all when your anxious or panicking, writing them helps keep track of these moments.
Keep your thoughts all together in the pad included with the ACT kit.

Each ACT kit includes;

*Pack of gum- chewing is a act of stress release and lowers boood sugar
*list of crisis line numbers
