We could all learn from nature….
These are the two orphans we took in last week. They are not hers! Miss Miew already has 5 of her own yet she looks after these little darlings like they were hers❤️❤️❤️🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

Krista Higdon wrote in:”Ziva ( formerly Athena) is 4! She loves her toys but the squeaky mice are still her fave. She brings them upstairs and leaves them in our bedrooms at night. And her fave place to sleep is on the mantle below the tv!”
Aw…happy birthday beautiful girl, it’s so nice to see you again. You definitely look like your living your best life❤️❤️❤️🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

A big thank you to our beautiful friend Petria Rossiter who donated this doghouse today and delivered it to Bell island.❤️
It’s perfect to use as an outdoor shelter, so many cats will be able to use it.
The cats of Bell Island send you tons of love Petria!❤️❤️❤️🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛

Oh my…a flash from the past😻😻😻
Just heard from Heather Renfrew who adopted Panda and Levi in 2021 and their little sister Misty in 2023.
They moved to Southern Ontario two years ago and it’s so nice to see they are still together living their best lives❤️❤️❤️🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐈

These two little orphans were found by our youngest rescuer Kesha (Bonnie’s daughter). Actually she found the white one and told her mom about the other one who ran away. Thank goodness they found him! They were both introduced to our Lance Cove mama Miss Miew who started grooming them and then lied on her side to let them feed.
They both look healthy and are thrilled to be inside with other kittens and a nice wet nurse. Miss Miew is an incredible mom!❤️❤️❤️🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

Paddy is even more social and playful since he started getting his insulin. His eyes look clearer/brighter, he’s such a sweet sweet boy❤️❤️🐈
Kudos to Auntie Leah who had to learn a lot in a short time to give him the care he needs😺

We got all of Paddy’s meds sorted out. It took a couple of trips to the drugstore, they needed more information on his file.
The insulin should last about a month, we shouldn’t have to buy the rest of the stuff for a while. Auntie Leah is now learning how to take a little blood from his ear. The injection is pretty straight forward.
Paddy was tested for diabetes. Normal blood sugar in a cat is usually 6, he came in at 24.
Cats with diabetes can live long normal lives, some can even get cured completely.
Paddy is so sweet, he’s a little angel truly enjoying his life right now. The life he should’ve had all along❤️❤️❤️🐈🐈🐈🐈
