We’re taking a little time away this week as we head out to compete at the Saskatchewan Barrel Racing Finals, followed by the Virden Rodeo next weekend! 🐎🤠

I’ll still be checking messages and getting back to everyone when I can, but please be patient with me as we take some much-needed time to enjoy family, horses, and a little bit of a break. ❤️

Before I say anything else, I want to say thank you to every one of our amazing clients who are kind, respectful, patient, and understanding. You are truly appreciated more than you know. I am incredibly lucky to have so many wonderful dog owners who trust me with members of their family.

Unfortunately, this message is also for those who may not realize what day-to-day life looks like here.

This is a one-person operation. On any given day, I may be caring for up to 40 animals while answering phone calls, responding to messages, coordinating schedules, cleaning, feeding, exercising dogs (and horses), grooming, and making sure every animal receives the care and attention they deserve. It is a 24/7 job. There are no days off.

I am human. I make mistakes. I get tired. I get overwhelmed, and like anyone, I experience burnout.

No matter how busy things get, the care of the animals will always be my number one priority. I do my very best to accommodate everyone’s schedules, but that has to come after ensuring every dog is safe, healthy, and well cared for.

What I ask in return is simple: kindness, patience, respect, and understanding.

Rudeness and disrespect toward myself or my business will not be accepted. If someone is disrespectful, they may be refused service.

I truly love what I do. I love watching your dogs become part of our family, seeing them happy, and knowing they are loved while they’re here. That part of this job is incredibly rewarding.

What has become difficult is not the dogs—it’s the constant pressure to meet every demand, every schedule, and every expectation, especially when those efforts are met with impatience or disrespect.

If things don’t improve, I will be introducing stricter policies and reducing our drop-off and pick-up hours. This isn’t to make things inconvenient—it’s to ensure I have the time and energy to continue providing the highest level of care for the dogs, which is, and always will be, my first priority.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this small business with kindness and understanding. It truly means more than you know. Together, we can keep this a positive place for both the dogs and the people who care for them.

We’re out of room, but the calls don’t stop coming.

We currently have 13 puppies in rescue that we are still trying to find foster homes for, and every day more requests for help come in.

The reality is simple, without foster homes, we can’t keep saying yes. Every open foster home means another puppy gets a chance.

We provide the food, supplies, and vet care. You provide a safe, temporary place for them to grow until they find their forever family.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the time. And if you can’t foster, please share this post. The next foster we need might be on your friends list.

Our only requirement is that all household pets are up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Most of our rescues come in as strays so the requirement is there to keep everyone safe, healthy and not end up with even more unwanted puppies.

Simply use the same booking link you used to book your stay or appointment. Enter the phone number associated with your account, and you’ll be able to view all of your upcoming bookings and details.

You can also update your personal information and your pet’s information anytime through your account.

If you need to make any changes to an existing booking (dates, services, etc.), just send me a message and I’ll be happy to help, as all booking changes need to be made through me. 😊

With the long weekend bringing us to high capacity, we’re doing a little extra organizing to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible for our dogs and their families.

Please note:
• Any changes to your booking (dates, drop-off times, or pick-up times) must be made by Thursday, July 3 at 9:00 AM.
• * Your scheduled appointment time is extremely important this weekend.* Please do your best to arrive no more than 15 minutes before or after your scheduled appointment time. This helps us stay organized, safely manage arrivals and departures, and ensure we have a space prepared for each dog.
• Unfortunately, last-minute changes may not be able to be accommodated this weekend.

We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation. Your help allows us to give every pup the care and attention they deserve while keeping the weekend running smoothly.
