This Week! Music Bingo at The Fernwood Inn!

The Victoria Fringe Festival began in 1986, and to celebrate our 40th year, the bingo will be all 80s! all night long!

It will be a night of music, prizes, and mild mayhem. We will have hot-off-the-press Fringe guides there, so you can grab yours and start planning your 40th anniversary Fringe adventure!

Get your team together and come celebrate with us! Doors open at 6pm and Bingo starts at 7:00pm.

Tickets are $25 and sold online via Showpass. Single tickets are sold online, and additional individual tickets may be available at the door, subject to availability.

Full food and drink menu will be available all night.

All proceeds raised will support Intrepid Theatre’s 40th Annual Fringe Festival!

Today we say goodbye to our Marketing & Box Office Manager, Parker Melnick!

Parker has been with the Intrepid team for nearly 5 years, and after getting us through launch day for the tickets and website for the 2026 Victoria Fringe, she is leaving Intrepid to embark on a new journey – grad school! Parker has been instrumental in implementing a new box office system, in creating information systems for the company, writing compelling content for countless social media posts and festival programs, stewarding partnerships and sponsors, and has been the go-to source of all box office interactions for artists, audiences and new staff. We will miss you, Parker.

She is a q***r writer & arts worker who has been gratefully living and learning on Lekwungen Territory for the past 6 years, and has been working in the realm of marketing for nearly as long. A childhood of theatre and arts exposure and experience led to a degree in Creative Writing and Political Science at the University of Victoria and a strong love of creativity paired with analysis and intersectionality. After wending her way through different creative roles—bookseller, literary magazine editor, Marketing Manager, freelance writer—Parker found the perfect left brain–right brain balance at Intrepid in the form of Marketing and Box Office Coordinator in the spring of 2022. Unable to do fewer than two things at once, she has sat on the Malahat Review’s Fiction Editorial Board since 2019, and publishes freelance fiction and creative nonfiction work in a variety of literary magazines. Outside of work, you can find her reading strange stories and essays, collecting beach glass, and learning to sail.

That’s right: the 40th annual Victoria FringeFestival is LIVE NOW! We know it’s normally August 1st, but early online ticket, pass, and button sales is our gift to you to say thank you for 40 incredible years of theatre, mayhem, and magic.

Please note: This pre-sale is ONLINE ONLY. The in-person Box Office & its phone line will open August 4th.

This year’s festival takes over the city with Fringe venues from James Bay to Oak Bay and across downtown. We are also reflecting on 40 years of the Victoria Fringe, and will be sharing stories and pieces from the archives in our e-news and on social media, and are working on a pop-up display in the Intrepid Studio lobby that will feature highlights of the 40 years of Fringe history that will be open during the Festival. Come out, take a chance on wild and wonderful theatre, and embrace the weird at Fringe!
