On October 21st & 28th we have special Halloween workshops taking place in the studio! These are perfect for the kids that need more than trick-or-treating to celebrate the spooky season. We have an assortment of not-so-scary projects lined up, and we are ready to get creative with your kiddos.

We do a lot of experimenting at Poppet, but the great news is you get to leave the mess behind! Our Toddler With Caregiver classes are a lovely way to have fun with your little ones, allow them to try new (and messy) materials and we handle all the cleanup.

These classes run 10:30-11:30 am Tuesday-Friday and 1-2 pm on Tuesdays — link below for more info✨

On September 5th, Toddler Art Classes are back! We have two types of Toddler classes this fall, learn more below and at our link in bio.

— Toddler On My Own Classes run Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. These classes are great for children ages 3-5 practicing being on their own before heading to pre-school or kindergarten.

— Toddler with a Caregiver Classes run Tuesday-Friday 10:30-11:30 am and Tuesdays 1:00 to 2:00 pm. These classes are available for kids ages 2-5 but require an adult to attend with the little artist.

Excited to have our mini makers back in the studio, September is going to be so much fun.✨

After School Classes are starting up again in September and we are so looking forward to it. After School sessions include 4-6 classes that run from 3:30-5pm on your selected day of the week. In these classes, we explore loads of mixed media projects, painting, sculpture and so much more!

These classes are:
- For kids ages 5-10
- Are perfect for those who are wanting to try something new
- A great way to experiment with different mediums
- Processed based— we focus on the creation, not the final result
- In our beautiful studio at 1017 Cook Street!

A peek into our Dollhouse and Castle camps! So many magical elements are being incorporated— swings, slides, gardens and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Do you want to tour the finished spaces?

Meet Suusa, the owner of this sweet little studio! Suusa comes from a family of artists and has worked with children for many years in many capacities. She is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive space to create for all ages. When she was a kid, she would spend time in her grandparents' house creating everything from abstract sculptures to embroidery. Building a space as welcoming and full of fun and kindness as her Oma and Opa’s house is her goal with all Poppet classes.

Salad spinners are a camp staple! We love this project because it is an excellent introduction to process-driven art, a core philosophy at Poppet Creative. What is process-driven art? It's the emphasis on the making of art, rather than the final outcome. This philosophy allows our students to remain open to creative intuition and reduce insecurities.

When using the spinners, kids can experiment with paint colours and amounts but have little control over the final result. This gets them to be more open to experimentation and unexpected outcomes.✨
