IAF works to create a thriving BC agriculture via the effective delivery of programs

The Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC was established in 1996 as an industry-led, not-for-profit organization. We represent a significant component of the agriculture and agri-food community, from farm supply to primary production to post-farm gate and food processing. Our focus is to work with clients, industry and funding partners and invest in projects that have the potential to transform ideas into solutions.

💧 Strengthening Water Security for Edgewater Farms 💧

With support from the Government of BC through the Agricultural Water Infrastructure (AWI) and Agriculture Water Program (AWP), the Vermilion Irrigation District has successfully upgraded and planned for the future of its historic irrigation system.

AWI funding supported critical dam repairs and an engineering study, while AWP funding helped implement infrastructure upgrades that improved water flow, reliability, and on-farm productivity, benefiting more than 90 farms and over 500 hectares of agricultural land.

A great example of how targeted investments can protect water resources, support climate resilience, and strengthen local food production. 🌱

During busy season, things move fast and people miss things. That’s normal.

Quick check-ins early on usually catch the biggest misunderstandings before they become larger issues later in the season.
