Community Event Update! Our temporary Community Event Space in the mall is in the Warehouse One store unit, right next to Cinnezeo. We will update our social media when there is an event, like tomorrow's Build Night.

Thursday, August 6th is Build Night in our temporary Community Event Space from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

It is also my pleasure to announce that Friday Night Racing will be back by popular demand, restarting on Friday August 14th from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM!

It's Double Loyalty Tuesday again! The last Tuesday of every month is the best time to check us out, because you get TWICE the loyalty points automatically for every purchase. That's both in-store and online, too! So if you've been saving up for a new crawler, model kit or hey-maybe you just need more cement, this is your day!

As always, our Professors will be on hand to help with fair trades, answer questions, and make sure everyone—especially our younger Trainers—has a fun, welcoming experience.

Someone mentioned the word "panini" in store the other day. Imagine my delight at hearing that, my stomach is rumbling just thinking about it. Now imagine how devastated I was to learn it wasn't sandwich-related. That's not a word you can just throw around, there should be some sort of regulation. I'm not a soccer/football guy, but I am definitely a panini guy. Seeing people come together is a great joy of mine, whether over sports or sandwiches shouldn't matter (it does, but it shouldn't) because people coming together is beautiful: like a panini. Anyways, what am I talking about? Here are some stickers of sports guys! Celebrate your favourite sports guy with these commemorative stickers definitely not related to sandwiches by Panini, a disappointingly non-sandwich related company that's about to receive a very sternly-worded letter (from a concerned citizen) about why they have to change their name.

Our new air compressors are affordable... but are they any good?

Well, after 3 weeks of extensive usage and running a community airbrush event, I've organized my thoughts on the Gaahleri GT-918 Dual Drive Air Compressor and the TurboX Mini Air Compressor in a video on my YouTube channel, Liam's Hobby Room!

My colleagues and I had a lot of fun putting these machines through their paces! If you're looking to get into airbrushing, you will find a lot of value in these air compressors in comparison to some of the bigger brands.

I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who came by to participate in our Gaahleri x BC Hobbies Summer Tour 2026 event. It was a big day for us with so many attractions running at the same time. It was really fun to meet everyone and help you get some hands-on airbrushing experience! There was a great mix of beginners and experienced hobbyists present. My awesome team and I had a lot of fun with the event, and we hope to do something like this again soon. I hope everyone enjoyed their time at the event. Our raffle was well attended too, so congratulations to all the winners I called yesterday!

Gaahleri has been on a roll with their product development. I've been testing out quite a few Gaahleri products recently and am proud to share them and my own experience using their airbrushes and compressors. More of my video reviews are on the way!

Thank you to our partners at Gaahleri for supplying this event and making sure we had enough airbrushes, compressors and paint for everyone to try out! Also, thanks to Hillside Shopping Centre for their accommodation and support, without which we couldn’t have done this. Our hobby community is very strong, and all we ever need is a place to gather, share and celebrate the hobby. Once we have a new event space, the goal is to run all sorts of events all day, every day.
