After a year campaigning, I grew support in our riding from 25% to 50%—running because I love Canada and see the game and I know I can counter it. I’ve just been told they are parachuting a candidate with military contracts. How’s that democracy? Do they honestly think the people of ESS won’t notice? REMINDER: We still need everybody to participate. Our political systems have become so infiltrated by unethical behaviour that it has become normalized. If we truly want to return to a healthy, normal, ethical baseline. We must continue the fight until we reach that point. One election is not enough. Continue to hold your elected officials to the fire. We need to normalize ethics and accountability again, and it will be a long journey.

Are you all aware of the NDP-LIB coalition excluding MPs from all discussions on Bill C-65? Is this not a direct subversion of justice? How does any voter justify voting for parties who directly and openly subvert our democracy like this?

- the term Canadian Individual now includes PERMANENT RESIDENTS
- Install polling stations in old age homes
- no ID required for anyone living in a government institution
- revision of voting process at any time per the discretion of the Electoral Officer
- ability to test new electoral processes or technologies at any time without discretion
- ability to make “minor” changes at will without requiring approval
- defer 2025 election to Oct 27th for the 2025 election with no reason supplied
- chief electoral officer can move voting day whenever he wants.
- chief electoral officer can do whatever he likes if Governor General rejects suggested polling dates
- reduction in the number of signatures required to become a candidate
- electoral officer is allowed to revise the list of electors up to 5 days before polling

Bill C-368 is now being reviewed. It is a simple bill which REPEALS the sections which EXCLUDE natural products from drug regulations. This would make natural products regulated, possibly even subject to prescription to obtain certain herbal or natural food products.

Please do share with anyone who uses herbal products. I dare say the majority of the residents of our fair city will have something to say about this one.

Ah yes, the partisan NDP FB groups that don’t tell anyone they are partisan creating sensationalized news to sway people’s minds. I don’t see Marina’s comments as racist. I see her talking straight and being honest. If we can’t talk about these things and air them out in the light then what hope is there in uniting our communities.

The truth is 2 civilizations clashed, it was inevitable that it would happen, one was more advanced than the other, and the more advanced civilization, quite predictably, continued to advance. Wrongs were done. This is normal for an advancing civilization, the same way children make mistakes as they grow up. We can not go back in time, we can only go forward. And the only way forward is to live as one people and accept one another for who we are. Do what we can to right the wrongs which still exist today and move forward. The milk has been spilt on this one a long time.

The true problem here is judgement. For some reason everyone thinks judging is a political discussion. But it’s not. We all know the religious principle, judge not lest ye be judged. I’m not religious, but I think everyone knows the lesson there and has learned it to be true.

And one last thing…. be mindful of the FB groups you join… if you notice a trend in what articles political articles post and who is allowed to post… it’s likely partisan and in violation of all election and lobby rules in Canada. They like to disguise them as “community” groups. Both Sooke and Esquimalt have them and they are entirely NDP partisan.

So many people who engage in “political discussions” online don’t actually understand what politics is or what the right way to engage is.

Political discussion has been reduced to name calling, insults and hate. Proper politics is about discussing the issues, discussing the tools used to solve those issues and the skills of the people who maneuver through the nuances of managing people, issues and legislation.

If all you do is engage in hate and judgement, news flash… you aren’t engaging in a political discussion. If you actually want to talk politics, read the bills, read the legislation and understand what the disputes and arguments are about at a base level. Politics isn’t about judgement it’s about super boring stuff like managing civic infrastructure.
