A monthly Redbrick tradition where we finish work at 3pm and spend time together as a team—drinks, snacks, and a very competitive ping pong table. 🏓

We’re proud to celebrate our inaugural scholarship recipients in collaboration with iWIST 🎉

👏 Shukooh Goodarzi, recipient of the Redbrick Woman of Impact Scholarship, is shaping the future of sustainable engineering. From reducing single-use waste in Victoria to advocating for women in STEM, her leadership is proof that purpose and profit can go hand in hand.

👏 Elizabeth Reid, recipient of the Shift Woman of Innovation Scholarship, is addressing loneliness and isolation by exploring how VR can bridge the gap between online and offline interactions. Her PhD research pushes the boundaries of how technology can strengthen relationships, combat toxicity in gaming, and support online friendships.

Shukooh and Elizabeth remind us that innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about the impact it creates.

Thank you to the IWIST - Vancouver Island Women in Science & Technology team for organizing all of the important work that goes into delivering scholarships, and to the volunteer adjudicators who had their work cut out for them!

Last week, Redbrickers traded laptops for volleyballs and brought their A-game to the court. Fierce plays, lots of laughs, and the perfect summer backdrop.

This past weekend, Redbrickers from across the portfolio came together to walk in the Victoria Pride Parade. Surrounded by colour, joy, and the unshakable strength of our community, events like this remind us that Pride is both a celebration and a call to action — to keep building spaces where everyone can feel safe, seen, and celebrated.

Come for the Victoria sunshine, stay for the team spirit! This year, the Redbrick Run Club had its largest ever turn out for the TC10K. From people seeking PBs to those running their first-ever race, we loved seeing runners of all levels come together and cheer each other on.

An Earth Month catered lunch for the office can only mean one thing: plant-based food! 🌱🌎

One of our favourite in-office perks is the monthly catered lunch. We try to balance our selection between local favourites and doing themed meals when the opportunity arises, and with it being Earth Month, the best thing we could do was to bring a low-carbon footprint meal into the office for all of our local Redbrickers to enjoy.
