What a weekend in Red Deer, Alberta! โ๏ธ๐๏ธ
We welcomed 20 riders to a sold-out Advanced Rider Training course, including several returning students who came back for a second round of skill-building and practice.
Two days of sunshine, motorcycles, new techniques, increased confidence, and plenty of smiles made for an incredible weekend. From braking and counter balance to refining rider habits and control, everyone left with new skills to take back to the road.
A huge thank you to all the riders who joined us and made it such a fun and successful course. We canโt wait to see you again!
That motorcycle hanging from a traffic light in Vancouver was a stark reminder of how quickly things can go wrong on the road.
One of the most important skills every rider should have is the ability to brake quickly, effectively, and under control in an emergency. Yet many riders never properly learn or practice high-speed braking techniques.
At Advanced Rider Training, our courses focus on developing the skills that matter when seconds count. From low-speed bike control to high-speed emergency braking, youโll learn the proper techniques and build the muscle memory needed to react when the unexpected happens.
These riders are putting in the practice now, so theyโre better prepared when it matters most.

Motorcycle crashes can happen in an instant and experience alone doesnโt always prepare riders for emergency situations. Thatโs why ongoing training matters.
In this CityNews segment, Ryan Austin from Advanced Rider Training explains why practicing emergency braking and avoidance techniques until they become muscle memory can make all the difference when it counts.
Whether youโre a new rider or have decades in the saddle, training is something you should never stop investing in.
