As we approach the close of Q4 we are over whelmed with the amount of continuous support and love from everyone in our community.

The past 4-5 years have been tough everyone especially small businesses. Which makes us even more grateful for everyone who stops by when they’re around once a while to our regular customers that come in and visit us all week long.

We would be here without you guys, I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

Quite the eventful morning here !

I woke up with several miss calls from Victoria Police - only to find out our small business has been victim to another tragic incident of vandalism.

We were lucky enough to have a witness for this unfortunate event. This morning around 8am a man found it upon himself to demolish our front door and proceeded to steal our live crabs… yes.. our live crabs..

Not our cash register, not our liquor or equipment. Our crabs 🦀

The witness confronted the distressed man and luckily got him to put the crabs back and scared him off by calling the police.

My father & I spent the morning cleaning up the aftermath of this destruction and we are still set to open today.

Although the insurance deductible and inconvenience is going to be more than a headache. We are blessed that we still set to open without any loss of business.

We appreciate the whole Chinatown community and everyone else part of community that shared the support, sympathy and compassion passing by.

EMERGENCY UPDATE: the assailant was released from police custody less than 4 hours after the incident. He than came back and threw a smoke gr***de in the middle of our lunch rush.

While being questioned and basically admitting to this crime. He also stated he has it out for restaurants that sell live seafood.

The police decided to let him go still. Just for him to come back and commit another crime. We believe the individual is determined to shut us down. As a result we will not be serving OR selling crabs for the time being.

It is not worth the risk it puts our small business in.

We have another witness of this further incident & surveillance that will HOPEFULLY now be enough to charge and hold this criminal.

My family, my staff and community are beyond petrified that there are people who are out to tear local businesses down.

If the individual is reading this post. I hope you are happy with yourself.. We are NOT selling crabs ! Please just leave us alone 😭🙏

There are big grocery stores that have seafood tanks for much longer than we have so it breaks my heart that people find it in them to attack small local businesses like ourselves.

Just goes to show how effective our justice system truly is as the suspect is already undergoing charges for a similar crime committed.

We will be open as per usual as we won’t let these circumstances stop us from serving our community.
