One of our available animals, the poison blue dart frog (Dendrobates tinctorius azureus), having a quick snack!🐸🪰💙

It’s amazing just how much detail is on the body of such a tiny creature! Did you know the pattern of spots is unique to each frog and thus serves as a “fingerprint” to differentiate between individuals?

Happy Halloween from all of us at Creatures Pet Store, Falkor (our adoptable bearded dragon) included!🧡🎃

Mochi (our unsexed Rhacodactylus leachianus gecko, also known as a Leachie gecko or New Caledonia giant gecko) is now available and ready to find their forever home! They are currently weighing in at around 38 to 40 grams💚

Please inquire with our reptile staff if interested in Mochi, or about the specific care this type of gecko needs, as though similar to other geckos, they do require more specialized keeping👍🏻

They live up to their name and are indeed the largest species of gecko in the world, and definitely live with a bit of extra pizazz and sass in that 14-17 inch gecko body!🤩🦎

Ever wonder why we never encourage or recommend goldfish in ANYthing under a 20-30 gallon (per fish)? Here’s our reasoning 😊

Goldfish in captivity with the proper tank size can reach up to a foot long, with some species exceeding up to 18 inches! 🫧 In the wild with unlimited space to grow, they can reach up to 24 inches long! That’s 2 feet, which is truly remarkable! 😱

Goldfish have a high oxygen demand and need a lot of swimming room, but what you may also not know, is that they have a high bioload. Meaning, they produce a lot of waste, a high bioload creates toxins that can stunt their growth along with too small of a tank. When this happens, their organs continue to grow, but their external bodies stay the same. Which is why a proper tank size is essential👍🏻

Looking for a pet goldfish? Come down or call to see what we have, and remember to do thorough research on this fish so you can provide an ideal environment and ensure they thrive. And if you do start with a smaller tank (minimum 20-30) be prepared to definitely do some upgrading down the line, or go full force and start BIG🧡🐠

Come say “hi” 👋 to these 2 Comet Goldfish here at the store! Though these guys are BIG, they are NOT full grown and unfortunately will not reach their full growth as they are stunted from a small tank. Still very full of life and bubbles, these cool dudes are chilling with us (currently unavailable for now) until they are ready to find their new homes 🏠

A couple of our new residences today during feeding time!🦗🍽️

Did you know, Veiled Chameleons have a super fast elastic tongue that can extend to more than twice their body length?👅 They are also among the fastest muscles in the animal kingdom, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 1/100th of a second!💨

These veiled chameleons are currently under observation while in quarantine, but will be available soon! We have 2 males (Oscar and Ripley) and 1 female (Dori) available💚

Budgies, Budgies, and more Budgies!! We currently have 3 pairs of bonded Budgies looking for their forever homes ❤️

They range in ages from 8 months to 2 years old. They are currently unsexed and not hand tamed. However, they are all extremely sweet and adorable! They may be best for someone looking to add to a flock or looking for some little friends to fly around their home.

if you’re interested in any of the birds in this post or on this page, please feel free to send us an email with some info about you and what you’re looking for!
