For those of you who have been watching our stories lately- u may have already guessed this was coming.

We’re stoked to finally announce Cryptic Hives newest addition to the team and full time resident artist .alexander.widell

Lars Alexander Widell brings 15 years of tattooing and over 300 hours of ink in his own skin into every piece he creates.

Rooted in yoga, holistic health, and a global search for deeper meaning, his sessions can become a transformative experience… Art that connects your past, present, and future.

His unique and recognizable style fuses surrealism, illustration, and graffiti elements into bold color or striking black & grey.

Keep an eye out for his upcoming series, Victorian Botanical Noir… a moody, elegant collection inspired by his new home in Victoria, Canada.

Beyond tattooing, Lars is a lifelong creator; graffiti artist, stonemason, ballet dancer, musician, and even some schooling in fashion design.

Recently his 20+ years of volunteer festival work really paid off, he was blessed with the opportunity to play on the iconic Pagoda Stage at in 2024.

Then, returning this year with a bang for a sunrise B2B with his son Köl, they shared a momentous original, opening with live operatics.
In every way, he embodies the spirit of a modern Renaissance man.
Lars is now booking to start new projects in Victoria BC for 2026 and we are excited to have him joining our new growing team.

“Alchemy teaches us that the elements aren’t just all around us, but also within”.

This mural has been a multi year journey collaborating with many different artist friends in different forms.

As we continue to evolve it and transform it every year, we are also growing and transforming internally.
Constantly trialing new things and building more creative bridges between collaborators.

Thanx to all those people who have supported us through out this journey.

Working in festival conditions ain’t always easy but being a part of creating the magic and sharing deep subconscious messages for the inner psyche of beautiful minds is what keeps us coming back.

Big love to all the artists out there that keep pushing there passion and sharing themselves with the world even amongst the challenges.

This mural is 64ft long by 10ft high of actual aerosol art but does actually extend bigger with all the extra additions and comes alive at night through layered video map projection like many of our instillations we have done over the years.

I will share the night time edition within the week ;)

This piece speaks to the sacred architecture of the psyche.

A living Labyrinth shaped by thought, memory and perception.

It is the unseen terrain we all must cross to reclaim sovereignty of the mind.

Within these mirrored halls dwell the many faces of self-
To walk this path is not to escape thought, but to master it.

To reach our centre

An ancient consciousness stirs
Our inner power
An open mind
The veil thins
Reality bends to meet awareness

This is a tribute to the power of the mind

To the ones who choose to look inward and awaken.

To reshape the reflection of there reality.

The God Molecule

“Not a teacher—
but a mirror made of flame.

A rapid and overwhelming loss of the sense of individual identity.

The boundaries of the self dissolve, often resulting in a direct encounter with pure consciousness, unity or source.

Was an honour to be welcomed in as a part of crew this year where I sprayed this mural of the Bufo spirit - welcoming the reboot of consciousness.

What an epic festival.
Highly recommend to anyone inspired by the arts.

It is a branch of burning man following the same principles where everyone is giving what they have to offer to build community and embrace a culture of sharing to co create a deep level of experiences and all forms the arts and offerings.

So grateful for all I got to witness and be a part of and all the beautiful new wierd and wonderful friends I collected along the way

Was grateful to be able to share my art and music amongst so many others

What a truly magical experience.

Feeling very grateful to also be back into my music and all the opportunities I have been given.

I will be releasing my favourite sets I have played this year at the end of the summer.

These tokens are the first edition credits released in the new age of the Cryptic Hive

They make great gifts and are valuable credit for tattoos, art, merch, and upcoming creations of the hive.

They are also a great way to put funds aside for a tattoo if saving is something u struggle with.

This is just a small piece of the puzzle for what the Hive has in store for the new year as it dials in and elevates its aesthetics, procedures, products and offerings.

We will also be launching our creative website and online store with all sorts of new magical creations by the end of the winter.
