THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 — THOSE WHO SEEK TO LEAD

Scripture: Proverbs 11:14

Heavenly Father, today we pray for every person who has put their name forward to serve the people of British Columbia.

Give our candidates strength for the demanding weeks ahead and protect their families from the pressures of public life.

May they campaign with honesty, integrity and respect. Give them courage to speak what they genuinely believe, humility to listen to the people they hope to represent, and wisdom to understand the responsibilities of public office.

Raise up leaders who desire to serve rather than simply to be served.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 — BC, WE PRAY

Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1–2

Heavenly Father, today we begin several weeks of prayer for British Columbia.
Thank You for this remarkable province we call home — for its people, communities, beauty, resources and opportunities.

As British Columbians prepare to make important choices about those who will lead us, turn our attention beyond political parties and personalities toward the well-being of our province and our neighbours.

Give us wisdom to listen carefully, humility to consider perspectives other than our own, and discernment as we make important decisions.

Guard our province from division, anger and fear. Help candidates and political leaders to speak truthfully, act honourably and seek to serve the people who have entrusted them with responsibility.

Lord, we entrust British Columbia and its future to You.

BC, we pray.
