For more than 26 years, Aldo has shared his love of music with listeners across Greater Victoria through CFUV 101.9 FM. As he prepares to host his final broadcast, we want to thank him for the countless ways he has championed opera and supported Pacific Opera Victoria over the years.

Through An Afternoon at the Opera and Off the Beaten Track, Aldo has welcomed our artists to the studio, highlighted our productions, and introduced audiences to the music and stories behind each season. His enthusiasm, generosity, and genuine love of opera have made him a treasured friend of our company and our community.

Thank you, Aldo, for every interview, every broadcast, and every conversation. While this marks the end of your radio career, we know we'll still be seeing you in the audience for many seasons to come. Congratulations on an extraordinary 26 years at CFUV, and thank you for being such a wonderful advocate for opera in Victoria.

A Night of Music at Deep Cove Winery

Many of our audiences will recognize tenor Clayton Butler from the Pacific Opera Victoria Chorus, Pop Up Opera, and as a Living Opera Teaching Artist. On July 29, we're pleased to support Clayton as he raises funds for his second year of graduate studies at Codarts in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Joined by special guests Benjamin Butterfield and Robert Holliston, Clayton will present an evening of art song and opera favourites at Deep Cove Winery. We're proud to see him continue his studies and wish him every success in this next chapter.

Pop Up Opera is back!

From July 22–28, Pacific Opera Victoria is bringing free opera to communities across Greater Victoria with performances in parks, plazas, Greater Victoria Public Library, The Royal BC Museum, and other public spaces.

Alongside our spontaneous pop-up performances, we're featuring a scheduled 15-minute mini-concert, making it easy to plan your visit if you don't want to leave it to chance.
