Strong women. Safe space. Real community.
There's something really special about a room full of women showing up for each other.
Every time I photograph the women's classes at Van Isle Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I'm reminded that the mats are about so much more than training. They're about courage, laughter, support, and the kind of community where women can feel strong, safe, and completely themselves.
I love capturing these moments. The smiles after hard rounds, the encouragement between teammates, and the diversity of women coming together to grow both on and off the mats. It's honestly one of mv favorite rooms to photograph.
