nager playing bass Kidd appeared alongside childhood best friend Brett Smith-Daniels on the popular Canadian television show CBC's Dragons' Den where their teenage rock band Endurance performed with Kevin O' Leary & was offered a $100,000 deal. Endurance disbanded due to half the band relocating to England at the time. Kidd now just 17 then joined a band on bass called Stars Blvd. (previously Stars of Boulevard) who had previously won Fox Seeds in 2010 (previous winners including Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, Matthew Good Band). The band who were in their mid to late 20s at the time, were understandably reluctant to let a teenager who wasn't old enough to get in bars in the band. Yet due to Kidd's musicianship & strong work ethic outshining other contenders he was given the role. Kidd then found himself in a major recording studio for the first time at Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, BC where he recorded on Stars Blvd.'s track "Crazy Beautiful". The song was mixed by Juno Award Winning engineer Randy Staub (Nickelback, Bon Jovi, Metallica). Unfortunately Stars Blvd.'s time was short lived as a result of individual members of the band getting outside offers. "I loved that band so much. If I could put that band back together tomorrow I would. I never got over that band wanting to call it quits. I thought they had absolute magic but it wasn't my call if they wanted to disband. Truly the one that got away and I've never gotten over it. I was in love with the songs. The guys were the cool older brothers I never had, I looked up to them & that time shaped me as a young person finding my way as a musician. I was a major fan before becoming part of the band." -Kidd

Tired of bands falling apart out of his control Kidd began pursuing music as a solo artist learning how to sing & write his own songs. It became survival as an artist to stand on his own two feet. No band just his acoustic guitar & the first song he wrote led to the next chapter. While still barely out of high school the guys from Billy Talent & Sum 41 along with a company called Make Music Matter run by Darcy Ataman flew Kidd out to Mississauga, ON from Victoria, BC to record his first single he had written called "Little Dreamer". The song was recorded at Metalworks Studios with Grammy Award winning producer David Bottrill. The song just months previously had been performed by a choir of 200 kids led by Kidd for their high school graduation ceremony from Mount Douglas Secondary (Victoria, BC). The songs original acoustic demo had also caught the attention of Cherie Currie (The Runaways) who expressed her love for the song on social media sharing it with her fans. Still a teenager this moment with "Little Dreamer" proved Kidd could hold his own as a nomad artist with or without a band. To date Kidd has had 8 songs on commercial radio internationally including air play from one of Canada's largest radio stations the CBC. He co-wrote, produced and played guitar on the hard rock single “Salvation” released as a duo under Josh Jones and Trevor Kidd in 2022. The song had a music video directed by film maker Alex Sharp (Wired Shut) and with its release on the global film festival circuit won 13 awards with 5 nominations internationally. “Salvation” is recognized on IMDB as an award winning song and music video for 2023. An unplanned plane ticket to Los Angeles, CA in the summer of 2025 with a handful of songs written from a place of trying to heal, the kindness of strangers, rock n' roll heroes becoming friends & a chance encounter at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood led Kidd to begin working on a new EP set for 2026. The EP self produced by Kidd features Garry Gary Beers (INXS), Cone McCaslin (Sum 41), Teddy 'Zig Zag' Andreadis (Guns N' Roses/Slash/The Boxmasters), Robin Diaz (Puddle of Mud/Hole/Theory of a Deadman), Matt Starr (Ace Frehley), Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) & Brett Smith-Daniels (Walter Trout) releasing 2026. A production that felt nothing short at the time of a rock n' roll fever dream for Kidd. The universe lined everything up at once at a time he needed it most Kidd expresses. "All those day dreams I had in my head for 20 years were happening and I felt like I was living somebody else's life. I was almost too numb emotionally to feel it at the time due to a loss I was going through and felt like I was on autopilot the whole process. My wildest career dreams & personal life nightmares were colliding with each other head on. It was a gift in a way being in that headspace while navigating serious imposter syndrome as a creative producing this project. It will be my best work to date." -Kidd
